The Royal George - Carte

Called in for a pint and couldn’t believe there are still pubs like this, looks and smells like it ain’t been cleaned for years, the beer was not cheep and was not good. Won’t be going again.

Good beers and ciders, very friendly atmosphere and some tasty food, just what I needed! I chose fish and chips but almost went for the fresh bass with local Pembrokeshire new potatoes, tricky decision!

This is a proper locals pub. Go here if you want to have a proper pint of welsh beer and hear some local banter. We didn't eat here but the menu looked good. Limited, but good. The emphasis appeared to be on local produce. Voir le carte

visited on the recommendation of a friend and it was a lovely, friendly proper pub with a wood fired pizza oven out in the beer garden. Pizzas were good and fresh and beers were in great condition. Will definitely visit again

The Royal George is a traditional pub, it's like walking back in time to the good old pub days! Four adults and four children visited for Sunday lunch, which was delicious. Home cooked, with plentiful veg. Homely and very reasonably priced. Couldn't fault it! Great location too.

Couldn't believe that a pub so close to Solva doesn't open until 3pm. We weren't the only ones to get turned away at 2pm....what business sense (or rather lack of it) determines an opening time of 3pm in the afternoon? Advice to all don't venture up the hill to the Royal George, it's not worth the trip. Voir le carte

What a lovely place! Staff were so friendly and the home made food was delicious and good value. My husband had a tasty local crab salad and I had fish and chips. The boys had home made pizzas which were so delicious that I ordered an extra pizza for myself to take home! Great little spot after a walk around the beautiful harbour.

This local pub is fantastic, offering a warm welcome to all. Despite its unassuming exterior and somewhat disorganized tables inside, the pub serves well-maintained ale. It is also known for hosting live local musicians, adding to the lively atmosphere. The highlight of this establishment is its spacious roof terrace with stunning views, making it the perfect spot to visit during the summer months.

A proper locals’ pub with a bar propped up by sturdy and sweary Welshmen. Confusingly the laminated menu on the bar lists ordinary pub food, but there’s ANOTHER menu of gorgeous pizzas laden with Gorgonzola and sun dried tomatoes and asparagus, and the chef also popped his head out to say they had fresh bass or mackerel on the specials menu. Anyway, I don’t know what’s going on with the menus, but the pizza was up there with the best I’ve ever had, the staff were really friendly, and the sweary Welshmen were nice too. Plus a high chair for our little one and water for the dog, everyone happy. Voir le carte
