Absolutely the best! The rooms are excellent, and the food and drinks are quite good as well. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 5, the service a 5, and the location a 5. Hotel highlights include a stunning view and great value for your money.

This is a spacious pub with accommodations located along King Alfred’s Way. We visited after cycling from Reading, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even assisting with bike storage. The food was excellent, and they graciously prepared an early breakfast for us so we could set off sooner. Highly recommended! Voir le carte

Popped in Last night just for a drink as other past visits have been nice 2 young members of staff on male very pleasant young girl definitely in the wrong job, foul mouthed (f word) no customer service skills whatsoever, small complaint from a couple who'd just eaten and didn't care attitude to gentleman who wanted food (too late) Won't be rushing back or recommending..... I had a lovely evening enjoying drinks at the restaurant. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our waiter, Alex. He was incredibly attentive to both me and my partner. His politeness, friendliness, and engaging conversation truly enhanced our experience. He ensured our food was excellent and left us with smiles on our faces. Once again, a big thank you to Alex. Ed and Kerry are wonderful hosts. They made our stay perfectly enjoyable in every way. We visited a friend nearby, and Ed was kind enough to pick us up when we couldn't find a taxi. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm, allowing for a restful sleep. It's a lovely guesthouse, and we highly recommend it. The village itself is beautiful and offers plenty of walking opportunities. Don't miss out on this experience! Voir le carte
