"Food: I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was nice and crispy but nothing special. The chips were similarly good but average. Service: The service here was abysmal. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. The place was nearly empty when I went for dinner. Despite that a young male server looked around the empty room, looked at me and then sat me in a hidden corner at a tiny table that was clearly not meant to be for customers. After about half an hour I eventually got up and asked a bartender if I could put an order in. She was confused because she had no idea I was there. She confronted the jerk that put me at that table for not telling her that he sat a customer, and for purposely putting me at a bad table for no reason. He started laughing and gloating that he could get away with what ever he wanted and that he didn't care about her feelings or his job at all before he walked away. She felt bad but still didn't do anything to improve the situation. I wonder if he is related to the owner because he clearly didn't want to work, or even be a good person. After all of this happened the service was still practically non existent and I still payed the full tab even though I was treated horribly. I will never go back here. Ambience: The pictures online look great but the reality looks run down and on the verge of a mold outbreak."

The food and the staff were very good and I can't blame either. The waiting times for food, both courses, were unacceptably long as it was the case every time I was in the restaurant.

Just back from a delicious family meal at the Red Lion. Fantastic food and service and a great table just next to a roaring fire perfect for a cold winter evening. We’ll definitely be back!

Great food, service and dining experience. Would definitely recommend. Called in advance in the morning to warn some menu options not available due to delivery issues but when we arrived there was still plenty of choice.
