Lovely friendly pub. We held a gender reveal party here, Sal was amazing we had the whole side of the pub. We also had some amazing food gluten free and vegan food.

A great local pub serving well prepared food and superb well kept cask ales. Had a wonderful shoulder of lamb roast with all the trimmings and faultless HSB. All at a great price. Highly recommended.

We were welcomed by yvonne who was lovely and friendly we were telling her we where staying at the hotel across the road and going to the Isle of Wight the day after the food was lovely as well highly recommended Voir le carte

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The vegetables and gravy were very tasty, and the portion of meat was generous. The staff were polite and friendly. At £15, the price was well worth it. I will definitely be returning in the future.

We phoned and booked a table with a very friendly person. The Sunday dinner was the best I’ve ever had, whilst dining out. Great staff and helpful in every way. The chef is the landlady and I will defiantly be back. Give it go, you won’t be disappointed.

My friend and I had Sunday roast and it was one of the best ...... We had to wait a little while but it was worth it because it was all freshly cooked and piping hot. We had a lovely lunch. Roast beef with all the trimming. The pudding was disappointing Eton Mess Sundae. Had no ice cream. A sundae would always have ice-cream in my experience. We were told by a member of staff that it was in a sundae glass. Therefore it's a sundae and there would be no ice cream. £7 for half a sundae glass with merangue, a few strawberries and a bit of cream.

I called ahead on the same day to book a table for 3 adults. Donna took our reservation, and when we arrived, our table (table 2) was in a great location. Everything was perfect - from the warm welcome to the delicious drinks and food served by Chef Donna. We have already made another reservation for a future visit and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to book or visit. If I could, I would give it a 10/10 rating. This restaurant review has a mixed opinion, with high praise for the food but disappointment with the service. We arrived a little early for our reservation and were greeted warmly and seated promptly. However, after ordering drinks, we waited for an hour for our food without any explanation for the delay. When we inquired, our meal came out shortly after. My meal was excellent and deserving of a 10 rating, but my husband found his portion size to be lacking and rated his meal a 7. Despite the delicious food, waiting an hour for our meals was unacceptable, especially since the restaurant was not very busy.
