Lovely food with plenty of choice, great menu for the little ones as well. The service was seconds to none

Great food , nice staff, and lovely open fires. Excellent in Winter time. Haven't visited at other times of year.

Having had good experiences here in the past I booked for my birthday with the family, whilst we had a nice evening the food on this occasion was decidedly average and we were quite disappointed

Lovely but my booking through Open Table was not recognised the establishment says they no longer except bookings from Open Table so waited a long time to be seated, they were very good and clearly not their fault.

we had a fantastic and amazing lunch with a great atmosphere and very polite employees. this pub is really beautiful and authentic. we had a Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious. very high quality and perfect portions. I think the best I ever had. we are made young and see them soon

This is a Bistro Pub we have frequented for many years. We keep returning because of its character backed up by helpful and engaging staff. Just recently we enjoyed our regular steak dish which was outstanding! There have been changes in staff and this can have an effect on service but for us it is up there with some of the best experiences in Herts.

this place is beautiful. it's a good opportunity for us to meet with friends. comfortable, clean and stylish location and the staff are very helpful, friendly and attentive. we were a table of 5 and the speed of the service was excellent. eating was a good tasting with a good selection in the offer. large selection of drinks, both alcoholic and alcohol-free, with cocktails and cocktails also available. parking lot with big size and I never had a problem parking.

we have taken some of our local customers here for an end of the year lunch and it was nice. Christmas decorations looked so beautiful, and the open fireplaces make it really cozy. service was excellent and we had a great table beautiful Christmas touch. the waiting staff was very friendly and efficient, although the place was really full! (good for them that everything is done smoothly. the food was great, and a good mix of 'pub dug' and restaurant style choices. would definitely recommend.

All the staff were extremely helpful, courteous and accommodating. Stephen, who served us at the table, was particularly great. The food was superb and arrived promptly. Our youngest son has autism and has an extremely limited diet. Although there were four of us at the table, he never eats and more often than not is largely ignored by restaurant staff. Today he was made to feel an important part of our party by Stephen who was amazing with him. He gets impatient and struggles with lots of things but he was made to feel very welcome, which we were all very grateful for. We all had a great time.
