Really nice pub, food was really tasty and reasonably priced, decent beers, wine was excellent value, and the service was extremely polite; I would definitely return!

Tantalising menu and a good range of beers, all served with a smile. The pub itself has beautiful rooms handsomely decorated and a well furnished beer garden. Well behaved dogs welcome! Voir le carte

Haven't eaten here yet but the food does look very good. Been coming here for years but this present landlord seems to be making a success of the place. Definitely one to try if you haven't been yet.

Charged for a cocktail that was diluted massively with soda we took it back twice as you could taste it was diluted, to be told it is as it should be. It's my go to drink so you'd think I'd know. Wouldn't listen and didn't care, happy to skip off with your money.

We really enjoyed our lunch here today. The fish and chips was superb, with a great beer to wash it down and steak, egg and chips got two big thumbs up too. Everyone gets a warm welcome with great service and we'll be happy to return any time. I'd recommend booking to eat as the pub is very popular and very busy. A nice place for a nice meal and the young bar staff are a great example of how it should be done. Voir le carte

Called in on way from work and so pleased we did! Excellent selection of wines: Rioja was delicious! Decided to eat; again, excellent selection on menu. Shared a (massive! scotch egg which was well presented and absolutely delicious. Followed by soft, melt in the mouth belly pork on black pudding mash (mmmmm mmmmm! . Really lovely friendly atmosphere and all staff really pleasant, helpful and friendly. Were it not for an early start on the Saturday morning, would have been most tempted to try and work way through that wine selection : Cannot recommend highly enough!

Chef’s special scotch egg starter was amazing served hot and runny and i took half home as it was massive (larger than a standard supermarket scotch egg) It was burger night so we had a burger and pint for £16 each. Although on checking the bill at the end only one pint had gone through on the offer which was slightly annoying but never mind. Burgers were good not amazing but how do you make a burger amazing? Would have preferred a load more chipotle sauce on my chicken burger as couldn’t taste it but enjoyed overall. Fries had a nice seasoning and the coleslaw...

When staying in the area I telephoned to book a table for 2. My wife ordered a rib eye steak, which she enjoyed. My choice of the Katsu Chicken Curry, described as “crispy coating “, crispy is was not. It was limp and soggy. I ate 2 of the 5 strips of coated chicken. The curry sauce was minimal. I asked for more sauce hoping that the meal would improve. It didn’t. I asked for it to be taken away. I was offered a replacement. I declined. We left. Asleep at our hotel I woke with severe stomach pains. Rushing to the toilet I vomitted for an hour, seeing pieces of chicken flush down the pan.
