"We were visiting Wiltshire on our family trip from London and we were recommended Marlborough for a visit! We came on Tuesday 12th September and it didn’t disappoint! We came across this lovely cafe! The staff were lovely and the food was beautiful! We did wait a little bit for the food but it was worth the wait! All the staff who were a part of our visit were kind and helpful, so thank you very much for that! Hats off to the wonderful chefs who cooked our food! My only suggestion my coffee was a little bit bitter but I don’t know if this was down to barista error or just that I didn’t like the coffee beans so overall a wonderful visit!"

"When we're seated, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I asked for still (wanting tap water) and a bottle arrived. This costs £4.95, but as 12.5% service charge is added £5.57 just for water. Starters were OK, but cheap tomatoes rather than widely available vine tomatoes came with the burrata. I'd had my starter before all the drinks we ordered on arrival had arrived. The battered mackerel was excellent, I am surprised that more restaurants don't serve this. Service was variable, but one young waitress went out of her way to be helpful."

"not many options on the menu, but there are many things that make their own sandwiches and salads etc. with, paprika, (avocado etc. they do now avo on toast (ask for no butter), which with their balsamic dressing is great. the strawberry and mangogelatos are also secretly vegan friendly! and strawberries and mango milk shakes can be made with milk-free milk (almond or soya). dark hot chocolate with almond/soya is also vegan. still waiting for vegan cakes."

"I read some impressive reviews of this site before booking. good news are they were all on the square. a little quiet for a Mon night, but the 'Pub-Food' was great. I use the 'pub food' only because the price is what they expect to pay for standard tariff, but what they get here is something a good class above the norm. we had four dishes, 2 of the special card and 2 of the menu, and they were all excellent. the other half of the pub has the fire and a nice cozy sitting area that we did not use in the night, but will be on our return, which hopefully will not be too far away."
