"Me and my new husband got let down by The Angel Pub 3 weeks before our wedding and The Newbury stepped up and went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. The new owners are so lovely and went with everything we wanted. The food was excellent, top class, and the staff on the evening went out of their way to make sure that all our guests and us were happy. I would definitely recommend the outside rooftop terrace for wedding receptions as it is such a beautiful space. We would like to say a massive thankyou to everyone at The Newbury for making our day extra special. You saved the day. We will definitely be returning in thd future."

The food at this restaurant is delicious, but the service tends to be a bit slow. We sampled several appetizers, such as squid, cheese, sliders, and fish and chips.

We dined here on Christmas night, marking our first visit since the new owners took over (we're regulars for drinks). The food was excellent, with a great variety on the menu and generous portion sizes. The children's menu was also impressive—both appealing and reasonably priced.

I am looking forward to visiting this beautiful place, as it is opened again and not disappointed. wonderful, helpful and efficient employees made the whole experience so enjoyable. I had the crooked rib eye with chips, red wine jus and long stuffed brokkoli wow! it was amazing that I can't recommend it enough. the deck area above had a nice relaxed ambiente and was nice to relax on a beautiful sunny day. can not wait to make good again to them all and wish for a fabulous future
