"Food can be great if you can get past the very poor front of counter customer service. I have been a regular over many years, good chef and kitchen/waiting team, but I returned recently after a long time not going and had really bad experience. Woman on till, apparently the manager, made me feel extremely uncomfortable on serving us, as if she didn't want us there, then we waited so long for food(quick sandwich light lunch order) that we ran out if time to eat and had to cancel and leave refunded. So we ended up not eating anything and leaving with our money back. It would've been £25 for a lunch snack we would have rushed. We couldn't justify that. All very peculiar, I'm a familiar face there but was so snubbed. Imfact we took it quite personally and on principle had to get out. Its a real pity because the menu and variety and quality from the kitchen team is so good. I would not want to return and have to face the counter woman again. And I was warned beforehand that the management had changed and the service had dropped, so that was proved to be very accurate feedback. Perhaps a Customer Service course is required by the head of the team. Feedback is so important for the people behind the scene as well. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

Lovely lunch by the seafront. Staff were friendly. It was quite busy with a long queue to order on a Saturday, but expected with the nice warm weather. Fish and chips were lovely.

good eating with a decent selection of fish dishes and non-fishing arrangements for a restaurant on the sea. a bit expensive, but eating is good for the price tag. beautiful view and a beautiful 15 minutes walk from the Butlins side Voir le carte

The steak was delicious and I would recommend it. The only noteworthy issues were the high restaurant prices and lack of table service. Overall, the dining experience was a pleasant one. Service rating: 3 out of 5. Atmosphere rating: 5 out of 5.

friendly service and a good selection of food – but the seafood is especially good. I had the fish and chips – tasty crisp teig and well cooked chips (homemade tartaric acid sauce.) good meals for children. Inside and outside dinjg. wheelchair accessible (we did not use toilets, so it cannot confirm.) Voir le carte

good size helps to eat high quality. I always say they can the quality of a place by their sausages (I swear there is a proportional correlation) and the sausages here are good. is only a little bit by little that they can't book, but I guess they're busy enough to don't worry to book. it is also right on the beach, wonderful!

I have been to The Lobster Pot twice and both times I enjoyed delicious food at a reasonable price, along with good coffee, friendly staff, and a nice view. The service was excellent, and I dined in for brunch. The cost per person ranged from £10 to £20. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5.

"Went with my partner who’d been here a good few years before and had fond memories of it. It’s changed! I was told on the phone it was advisable to book, I have no idea why as it was practically empty. We were pretty much ignored when we got there by an older woman behind the bar but hoped it would get better. The elderly woman on another table went off to find her own pepper so I should’ve known then. We ordered drinks and one pint of flat coke later we asked to send it back, I was told it was indeed real Coke by the sullen looking waitress wearing cycling shorts. She then admitted it wasn’t real Coke and did he want a bottle of that. We were waiting so long for our food that dirty glasses were accumulating on the table and at one point we put them up on the window sill. Then noticed a dirty big stain on the table cloth and a candle holder with old wax in but no candle left there on the table. We asked how much longer the food was going to be as we both had work in the morning and it turned upafter 60 minutes and I wish we’d have left 20 minutes earlier when we’d thought of doing so. When it came it was a shock to see the £27 sirloin steak. Over priced and average at best. We had to ask the waitress ‘can you please take all these dirty glasses while we eat?’ The meal was already ruined and our evening out spoiled not by the food but by the shoddy way we were treated from start to finish. Even the lemon had to be sent back! No juice, fell away from the skin into mush so god knows how long that’d been there. Apparently she needed to tell the chef but brought back more of the same. We had to quibble the bill afterwards as the pint of flat cola syrup sent back was still on there. The manageress or whatever her job title is should be embarrassed at how customers are treated but unfortunately it was obvious she didn’t care and no apology given and she treated us exactly the same. If o was on my own I wouldn’t have paid so they’re lucky we did. It was one thing after another. We came home feeling like we’d been taken advantage of and I wish I’d said more at the time. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, I chalk it up to experience and move on so you can imagine how bad it was. If you like fawlty towers you may enjoy this farce but we’ll put this down to one place we’ll never go back to and will NEVER recommend. Joke of a place. What a shame."
