"This was supposed to be a lovely Mother’s Day treat for me my daughter with other members of the family,WOW, it was anything but, it was extremely disappointing , over priced , and small portions. One of the waitresses was very condescending ..patronising to the people in our party who were not able to eat the fish and chips ordered as it was inedible due to it being off, it smelt tasted vile, dare I say had a smell of ammonia, the waitress then said , I can’t believe that as the fish was delivered fresh only yesterday, I really didn’t need to be lectured or told this as we the consumer were eating it and it was awful. The starters were hugely over priced , for so called king prawns which came in batter but did not say on menu board, which were no more than the ones you get from a Chinese takeaway with a chilli sauce , the pate starter was very small bread did not seem fresh, the soup was advised as carrot coriander and when it arrived it was tomato basil? The child’s garlic bread was far too strong with garlic and bread did not seem fresh. The side order of pigs in blankets for consisted of small sausages with bacon which as one of our party didn’t like the starters asked if this could be served as a starter which they said it could but it was not, when serving mains , we asked waitress to bring missing pigs in blankets and she said we already had been served them and we said actually no we haven’t and eventually they brought the rather over cooked pigs in blankets to the table. The roast dinners were not much better, under cooked and soggy roast potatoes, which were too big, not enough veg and not enough gravy. Being that it was Mother’s Day we did expect that the mums would get a complimentary drink or something but nothing , which was rather disappointing and the whole menu made no reference to it being Mother’s Day ,the people in the restaurant were obviously there because of this as we were too, the harp musician music was far too loud for the small compact space. The whole lunch experience has left a bad taste as did the fish chips and the members of the family felt quite ill afterwards as they attempted to eat the inedible food which was returned after cutting into it and one mouthful. A very disappointing visit and we will not be returning."

We went to this restaurant for a family dinner on Mother's Day and had a pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive. The live harp music added a special touch to the occasion. The food was cooked perfectly, and we were very satisfied with both our meals and the service. Thank you to the team at the restaurant!

I was blown away by the wonderful and attentive staff at this restaurant. We had a fantastic experience, the food was delicious, and the live harpist added a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The roast dinners were incredible, with plenty of vegetables and gravy. The cauliflower cheese was especially tasty. I can't wait to come back again, well done!

Great menu on offer. I had king prawns followed by mussels, my friend had watermelon and feta salad to start followed by fish pie. Great log fire burning, cosy but smart decor. Nice bar area where dogs are welcome, as well as dining area. Very...friendly staff. When the weather is warm or sunny, there is a lovely terrace to sit out on. Easy car parking. What’s not to like

My lovely family treated me to a Mother's Day Lunch at the Links. We have visited many times before and have enjoyed our visits (hence today's booking). The re-furb looks great but something has changed. The food was not good I would go so...far as to say the fish and chips were BAD is this defrosted food being presented as fresh?? Serving staff were very kind but seemed to be lacking in experience. Members of my family are feeling unwell. Will not be visiting again. How very sad. Voir le carte

We recently visited this restaurant after its latest renovation and were pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming staff. Although we initially came in just for a quick drink, we ended up staying for lunch. The food was freshly prepared and delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed the small bite options, which allowed us to create a mini tapas-style meal from the many choices available. The restaurant's interior and exterior were both beautifully decorated, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

my whole family and I had an amazing mother's day. jason and his team were welcome and met our needs and nutritional requirements. the meal was nice and a good value for money and was worth the visit. we even got a little. Mother's Day gift that was such a beautiful note. there were also live music in the shapes of a harpiste that was a very memorable part of the day and created a positive and happy atmosphere. the pub has recently been renovated and looks great, especially on a sunny day when you can enjoy it outside. I can't encourage them enough to visit the left tavern. many thanks again to jason and his team to make our day perfect!

I was treated to a special meal out for Mother's Day. I was keen to visit The Links, so that I could see for myself, the changes made with the refurbishment. I was not disappointed and neither were the rest of the family. We were...welcomed as soon as we arrived, and looked after throughout our visit. We decided on the roast chicken sharer, which was delicious, and something slightly different to your normal Sunday roast. The plate was left empty, but still left room for desserts all round. The visit was made extra special either some live background music a harpist, followed by a trumpet player. All in all highly enjoyable and I can't wait to come again. Voir le carte

So picture yourself walking into the pub , it’s a lovely looking pub in a lovely area . On this day there was even a harp playing . We sit down and wait quite a long time for our starters , my dad had ordered...‘king prawns with sweet chilli dip sauce ‘ or something like that however what arrived was basically Chinese takeaway prawn balls . And then for our mains of us ordered a ‘fresh haddock with triple cooked chips’ . The fish was NOT FRESH in the slightest , it smelled strongly which was the first indication to the fish being not fresh . Eating into they said how it tasted awful and not fresh at all . The only thing I could recommend you to order from this place is the roast chicken meal...

we used these years of Mother's Day as an excuse to get the whole family together. the left tavern was recommended to us by a friend before location in the opposite, what an amazing time we had. not only the weather on our side, but also an incredible harp in the restaurant. the food was delicious, which was supplemented by the friendly service. although we were a big group (with children), we felt no impediment, nothing was too much for the staff. the children ate their main thing while we had our appetizers, followed by a lot of different meal times from the menu. We recommend the Brat-Rind distributor; perfectly cooked, fresh and very good value for money. before the departure all mamas o...
