"My birthday treat from my daughter. I had a Special Vegetable Curry, with both mushroom rice and a Chapati, Diet Coke and ice. My daughter had Prawn Korma and rice. My food was so really, really lovely, the best curry I have ever had and I mean that. Although my daughters Korma was very rich and a bit sickly due to the sauce being so sweet, so she said. The whole restaurant is on one level and the toilets too, so is OK for disabled and wheelchair users. Very busy restaurant which tells you something also, probably best to book a table when visiting. Parking spaces is on the main road and is small in size."

"Haven’t been here for many years so wanted to try it out again after seeing good reviews. My husband and I had originally booked for our anniversary dinner but ended up eating out at lunch that day instead so changed the booking for my birthday meal with our sons a few days later. Not sorry we didn’t go for anniversary as ambiance was very lacking. Lights were very bright and did not feel in the least romantic. Which really surprised me. But food was mostly very nice. Service was good and attentive. The starters were good, whitebait, bruschetta, and prawns in a chilli tomato sauce being the favourites. I had the Avocado Mamma Mia which was ok but very heavy on the Avocado compared to the small amount of prawns and smoked salmon. Out of the four main meals, the two pasta dishes were the least enjoyed due to ‘lack of flavour’ but I enjoyed the fillet of beef medallions in peppercorn sauce and one of my sons enjoyed his risotto then finished off Dad’s leftover seafood pasta. Desserts were lovely. Profiteroles, honeycomb cheesecake and vanilla gelato. No complaints there! I didn’t see the bill but I imagine it wasn’t cheap. We had one bottle of Pinot and I had a glass of the delicious dessert wine. Other than that we all just drank water which may have kept the price down just a little. Overall a nice evening was had. Would I rush back? Probably not anytime very soon as there are other places I’d like to try. But I’m glad we gave it a go."

"This is the best pizza we’ve had in a long time and possibly ever! We ordered the Sorriso and Seafood pizzas, both had ample toppings and were full of flavour. Excellent friendly customer service and pizzas were ready and cooked fresh in 10 minutes. I never leave reviews but this Italian thoroughly deserves it, on the basis of their pizza alone. We will be back again in the future 5* Service: Take out"

"My family and I recently had Sunday lunch at the New Inn in Heckfield. Despite our group of 11, the food was fantastic and served promptly. We all loved the Sunday Roast options, which were accompanied by a large Yorkshire pudding, roasted vegetables, and roast potatoes. In addition to the mains, we also thoroughly enjoyed our starters, desserts, and drinks. Our total bill came to £440, which works out to £40 per person - a great value in my opinion. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to host a family meal, and we look forward to returning ourselves in the near future. Bonus points for being dog-friendly!"

"I recently was lucky enough to be treated to a meal at the coach and horses and boy what a treat. I was greeted not only by a charming pub which oozed character but genuine smiles from behind the bar,the welcome was as warm as the fire that glowed.The food was absolutely delicious,and trust me this is a real understatement....proper homemade food and at exceptional prices. I went for the steak and ale pie and WOW,every mouthful was beyond mouthwatering(the pastry my golly. .horseradish laced mash and vegetables cooked to perfection.The staff went above and beyond to make our visit one to remember.I had to privilege of meeting the manager Oli and what a lovely chap he is,the staff food,service are a testimony to the hard work and dedication he must give to his job.If you get a chance I highly recommend this amazing proper pub(a rare find these days it won’t disappoint."
