"During our visit to see family nearby, we were in search of a place to dine. After reading positive reviews, we decided to give this restaurant a chance and were glad we did. The staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly, going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The food was outstanding, with my lamb cutlets being particularly delicious and cooked perfectly. The pork belly, sea bass, lasagne, and scampi ordered by others were equally impressive. Even our youngest member who ordered chips and peas was pleased with his meal. I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant, as you will not be disappointed!"

Amazing food every time and great value too, but the real magic is the staff. We're always made to feel like an old friend returning, and never feel rushed to leave. Absolutely nothing to fault.

We came for my sister, brother and I to be together for the first time in many years. We had a great evening for that reason. However I had the choice of mashed potato or chips. Being fed up with the commercialy produced frozen chips...

We visited for lunch with family after reading the positive reviews, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Don’t take any notice of the non-trendy appearance of the outside, it doesn’t do justice to the warm welcome, fantastic food and great service! The menu is really good,...

We were staying locally and chose the Landford from the promising reviews. It exceeded our expectations, from the friendly and helpful landlady who we entrusted to choose our gin drinks, to the fabulous butternut squash soup and sesame chicken and honey starters. The curry main...

We're just home from a wonderful birthday family lunch at The Landford Poacher. They did us proud. Everyone selected from the extremely comprehensive menu from 16 months 77 years old. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented. Can't congratulate them enough. We'd ordered a special... Voir le carte

Our first visit having lived in the area for 6 years and never tried, but glad we did. Extensive menu and specials board and good atmosphere. Had the Pie of the day which was steak and red wine which was recommended by Lisa who is front of house and boy was it good! The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout our meal and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be coming back !

This pub is exceptionally welcoming and congenial, permitting us to park our camper in their car park. There's a delightful dog walk just across the road. Their evening selection of beer and cider is spot on, and the food is simply splendid. We tried both the pie and curry, and each was faultless and delectable. It's also a fantastic place for dogs. Both the staff and the locals are welcoming, making everyone feel thoroughly at home.

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."
