After a long days driving we stumbled upon the Lamb Inn and it was just the perfect stop. Located on the main road (a very quiet road), with some nice seating outside we initially sat there to enjoy the last of the summer sun. We ordered a couple of dishes between us and both were excellent. Because we were driving we had soft drinks though I did notice several good beers and I believe some cask ales we loved this pub, if we could lift and transport to here we would be very happy !

I stayed at this charming old pub with nicely decorated and spotless rooms. My small double room was smaller than the typical double, but it had its own bathroom and closet space, which is all you really need. The staff were helpful and friendly, with the landlord even assisting me with parking on the narrow residential street where the pub is located. Overall, it was a delightful stay in a pub full of character. Much more enjoyable than a standard chain hotel. Overall rating: 5 out of 5.

A cosy, friendly, charming place to stay. The chef squeezed us in for dinner which was a massive help as we arrived later than hoped with a baby in tow. I’m still daydreaming about the souvlaki 3 days on. Our room was in a converted barn (I think) with a freestanding bath and real ground coffee for the morning, such a treat. Sandford is a sweet little village (there was a scarecrow hunt on while we we there I counted 5) with a great community shop selling local Devon produce. Thank you Lamb Inn

We stayed at the Lamb Inn for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience with Nick and his team. After a long, tiring drive to the Inn, we were warmly greeted by the staff and enjoyed a relaxing dinner. Our room (room 3) was well-kept and peaceful. The Continental breakfast was satisfying, with Nick offering to bring more coffee if needed. We highly recommend the Lamb Inn for its delicious local food and welcoming atmosphere. The locals were friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Best of luck to Nick and his team in the future.

During our 5-night stay in Sandford, we dined at this restaurant on our first evening. The menu was appealing, and we both decided on the salt and pepper squid. Unfortunately, we were served four small squid rings each that lacked any seasoning. My wife's whitebait was simply fried and not coated in flour as expected. I ordered the slow-roasted belly of pork, which was delicious. The service was slow, but the hostess did apologize for the delay. The restaurant seems to be popular for its marketing and social events, so I wouldn't rule out a return visit. It's worth noting that this review is based on just one experience and may not provide a complete picture.

I had a fantastic experience at The Lamb Inn! My husband and I recently stayed there and enjoyed every moment. The room was luxurious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The attention to detail was impressive and all the facilities were top-notch. The staff were friendly and provided excellent hospitality. The continental breakfast was delicious and our dining experience was amazing. The Sunday roast and salmon were both fantastic. As a pescetarian, I was pleased with the variety of meat-free options on the menu. I would highly recommend The Lamb Inn to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. It was truly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time.

My wife and I spent several nights at this restaurant over the weekend. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and were incredibly attentive throughout our stay. The room was beautifully decorated, simple yet stylish, with a large comfortable bed and even a coffee maker so we could enjoy real coffee instead of the usual instant hotel coffee. Although I prefer showers, the free standing bath was so luxurious that I could have soaked in it for hours. The continental breakfast was the perfect start to our day, with cereal, coffee, and fresh croissants that were just the right amount to fuel us for a day of walking without feeling too heavy.
