"We went across the other side of town to check this pub out, as it's highly rated on TripAdvisor, and we're always interested in new local hotspots. I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about though. I notice most reviews are for their Sunday roast, whereas we went along in the afternoon for a drink. The place may as well have been closed, there were maybe 3 others in there watching sport on TV with a huge dog roaming around. One of the regulars had to shout for the bartender to come out from the back and serve us. Granted, the drinks were good, but we sat on our own in a corner of the pub, drank quickly and left (the outside courtyard is made up of 2 or 3 small tables and chairs down a side alley, basically a smoking area). There is really no atmosphere here at all, and it could use a refurb."

Went with business friends food is ok but place is lack of atmosphere.its been a bit away from the high street aswell so need to improve more attention from service.

This restaurant is quite spacious and welcoming, located approximately 800 yards away from the main street. It is definitely worth a visit due to its reasonable prices. Voir le carte

Went with friends for a pre booked xmas meal. Great size portons And great value for money. Would recommend the meal to anyone. Chef is amazing with amazing food. Will be going back again :

The restaurant owner was extremely disrespectful. The service was sluggish, as I waited at the bar for quite some time before being helped. The pub could use some renovations. I would not return.

Great food here, they have a real chef ! everything is cooked from scratch, no microwaved dinners or puddings here!! and first class Sunday Roast too, worth a visit. we have eaten here lot's not had a bad meal yet. Voir le carte

Unpleasant service and disappointing drinks. This restaurant, once a favorite family spot, has greatly declined. I had one drink and decided to leave. I will not return unless I hear that there has been a change in ownership.

Reviewed this place last year and wasn't impressed so thought I'd give it another go. De ja vu! A small group sitting in the sun outside the door shouting and swearing loudly, very intimidating. If this goes on all the time I feel sorry for the surrounding houses as it's in the middle of a residential area. I shall not try again.
