Fantastic Sunday roast with generous portion size best I have had in years! Wider local cider choice would be nice

Had a couple of lovely meals, also the best beer garden we've visited, staff friendly and attentive.Dog friendly and wheelchair accessible.

Lovely family run pub and rooms. Rooms are clean, cosy and beautiful. Pub has lovely beer garden. Food is excellent. Owners and staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.

This pub is delightful. The staff is extremely friendly and the fish and chips were the best I've had in a long time. The batter was light and the homemade tartare sauce was delicious.

We booked the Hood Arms for lunch on the way to our weekend away on a Friday. We liked it so much we went back with the whole family for Sunday lunch. Amazing roast; kids menu and deserts. All top. Big bonus for the Beer Garden where kids could run around and very Dog friendly (dog shower and beds! . Ideally after a country walk. Definitely recommend!

A great little hotel with a pub. We were there for a few nights as we were on a tour and stopped here. Very friendly family. The rooms are large enough, clean and personally furnished. The breakfast is excellent with a large selection, there is something for everyone. The pub is cozy and the food is exceptionally good. The price performance ratio is very good. We will be happy to come back.

This is not our first visit to this charming location and it will not be our last. We had Sunday lunch yesterday with friends who are local and this was just a great experience. The pub is dog friendly (and not dog tolerant which is different) and it was busy but felt calm . Food was of the highest quality and we loved every minute of our stay, a proper Country pub where food and service count. Thank you

We stopped by for Sunday lunch without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff were, despite the restaurant being busy. From the moment we entered, every staff member was fantastic and made us feel warmly welcomed. The food was delicious, particularly the traditional roast pork and lemon sole dishes, which were also reasonably priced. We can't wait to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I visited our charming and welcoming neighborhood restaurant for lunch with my dogs. My partner ordered the large fish and chips, while I had a tough time deciding from the excellent menu. Eventually, I decided to try the salt and pepper squid starter with a side of fries for my main course. Both dishes were fantastic. I highly recommend this pub, which is dog-friendly in both the bar and garden areas. For those who prefer a dog-free environment, they also have a lovely restaurant area.
