I received a very friendly welcome when I visited this charming pub for lunch. The beer and food were excellent and served promptly. Pit stop in our way back from holiday. We always try to find a pub not far off our route home and this was a real gem! I had the best steak I tasted for ages. The addition of the herb butter was a master stroke. My husband had fish chips. The fish was really crispy and the chips were awesome! Would definitely recommend! I recently tried out this restaurant and I have to say, it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. As a chef and a food enthusiast, I don't say that lightly. The pizza had an excellent, thin crust with a lot of flavor in the toppings. I highly recommend it. The restaurant itself was a bit small and lacking in atmosphere, but I would definitely return for the delicious pizza and homemade coleslaw. I couldn't help but notice that they could teach Domino's a thing or two about pizza-making.

The meal was delicious and the service was fantastic. We started with the nachos and calamari, which were both very tasty. The nachos could have used a bit more flavor. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. They provided great recommendations for food. We arrived after 5:30 and enjoyed drinks and appetizers outside before being seated at a perfect table. We tried the hoisin duck pizza, which was recommended, and it was delicious although a bit dry. I would give the pizza and nachos a 4/5, but the excellent service warrants a 5-star rating. They are dog-friendly and have a cute little snowshoe dog named Milo.
