"We came here with our friends for dinner Saturday night. Liz greeted us all with her daughter. She is so welcoming and before she went home ensured we were going to be well looked after. We sat in the bar for drinks before dinner, which was perfect as usual. Two of us had burgers, two had pasta. Burgers were cooked to perfection. The boys also enjoyed their puddings. If we lived closer and not five hours away, we would definitely spend New Years Eve here; it sounds amazing with food and an Elvis singer. Thanks Liz again. We simply love coming here. Xx"

"Lots of good things about the flat rock, the views are absolutely stunning, great place to grab a pint, with looks overlooking the Teifi estuary. The food was hit and miss. Chicken Cordon Bleu was superb, really an amazing dish. The burger, as others have noted was a real disappointment, bland and cheap taste, lacking garnish. The Dessert, roulade, was okay, but nothing special. The staff were really helpful and friendly, but service was a tad slow. Overall it was a good experience, but the food was overpriced for what it was. Parking: Very good Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp down to the restaurant, the staff were super helpful."

"Great location and the teepee in a courtyard makes for a great atmosphere. They advised a wait time of 40 mins for us, which was pretty much correct. I took a star off the service because while you order the pizza through the QR code, you have to go and queue at the bar separately for your drinks, which was quite slow at peak dinner time, and a little bit annoying. The stand out food item was the fried potato cakes. Absolutely terrific; I would go back just to have those again. The Greek salad was nice, but quite heavy on the salad leaves. The pizzas tasted really good but had quite a wide, hard crust. Perhaps this is authentic, but we ended up with most of these crusts uneaten, which feels like a bit of a waste."

"From the outside this place looks tired and in need of some renovation, nevertheless, my husband wanted a fish lunch so we went inside. We were given a menu, and told to check the board for prices which was confusing in itself as the options on the board appeared different. Given it is called a 'cafe ' we hoped there would be some kids non-fish options on the menu (fussy children) but there weren 't. We therefore went elsewhere and grabbed some lunch for the children but they didn 't have time to eat it outside as we were told the restaurant would be taking last orders in 20 mins (even though this was at 2.30 and the closing time was 4pm on the door). We therefore rushed back to the restaurant and found a table outside. We ordered two rolls at £26 and a short while later, an assistant came out to tell us we would have to cancel our order as they can 't allow food from elsewhere on the premises. I politely explained what had happened and that we had ordered food anyway, but she couldn 't get rid of us quick enough and cancelled our order. It seemed she wanted to finish her shift pronto, making sure staff knew it was last orders. When getting our money back she then said they had taken the payment twice so we needed £50+ refunding! How many other customers do they 'accidentally ' take two payments from?!! I would never go back here and would never recommend this place."

"It was 2pm. The restaurant was clearly busy which isn’t their fault, in fact usually a good sign. However, where our experience failed was the fact we were stood, visibly, at one of two entrances for over fifteen minutes with no one to tell us how long the wait might be (bearing in mind this was at the immediate top of a steep flight of stairs and others were behind us) and then when we did get seated we were sat for fifteen minutes not getting any attention from clearly overstretched waiting staff and witnessing other tables experiencing the wrong order but then they were also getting forgotten too. We decided to leave as this did not bode well for a relaxing eating experience with a family. It would appear the kitchen and serving staff were overstretched and not being managed particularly well at this busy time. Lack of communication is always a bad experience for customers, especially with a young family. I hope in the future this place can get it right during busy periods as the location and facilities seemed great."
