JUST THE TICKET. This is what you want after a long day in the saddle. Excellent beer, good honest food with superb service. Very popular place especially in summer so probably best to book.

We came here because the other 3 pubs that were recommended to us were full. This place had a table with no wait. I enjoyed the food. Good fish and chips and steak pie. Their fries were different from the traditional chunky steak fries, but good!

Amazing food. The Stag Pie and the Boar and Haggis Burger were beautiful. Like the kids Nuggets. You even make a dog menu. Our dog wolfed the sausages. Good selection of Scottish beers and apple wines. Nice staff and beautiful decor. Very recommended.

For a Monday night you couldn't get any better than this. Also who has curly fires now a days!!!!! Literally came here for the hog tails my inner child was beyond excited. And the burger and pie ae had were just as excellent. Lovely beer selection, great pub atmosphere .

We came after we climb the mountain late in the evening, without booking, but we are very welcome by the friendly and attentive waitresses. Wide range of food and beer and very cheap. The food was delicious and the restaurant was a nice place to finish our day. Very recommended

This place is wonderful. Great beer and lots of vegetarian options. There are two floors; upstairs is a sit down restaurant and downstairs is the pub/bar kinda spot. Same menu in both locations. We had the chili (great after a wet rainy day) and their veggie burger which was delicious

The food was absolutely divine. A so cozy bar with such great aesthetics. The deer devotee lights only really made the place and the food, oh the food!!! It's the best pub food I've ever had. Honestly amazing! And the portion sizes were so good. I definitely go back. You really have to go here.

We visited a wonderful rainy day and we were a bit cold, so it was very nice to have a delicious warm meal with super friendly staff. You order at the bar and the service is quite fast. For the ladies, the toilets are up, we have the wrong ones down below that were for the men. Prices are very affordable and definitely it for what you get.

This was a last minute find as we were far from our hotel in Edinburgh and wouldn't make it back in time for any food in the city. A lot of places were full for the evening so we were lucky to find this place. We managed to get a table pretty much immediately and we got our menus. The waiters were sort of idle around the bar area and we weren't clear on whether we had to go up and order our food or if they came to us. After a very small wait, our order was taken and then our food arrived. It was nice for pub food and would definitely recommend the pub for its food. The only issue, which reading other reviews seems to be the same for others, was the service was a little bit lackluster on occa...
