The Groes Inn - Menu

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. It offers stunning views from its lovely ground floor room, complete with a private terrace. It’s the perfect spot to bring your dog, as they were warmly welcomed during both our dinner and breakfast visits.

Absolutely lovely place menu fantastic food to die for service second to none dogs were welcomed with open arms we book here every time we holiday in our caravan in the area we will be going again at least twice before we go home well done the Groes!!!

I stayed at a hotel in Holyhead for one night after a delivery. The room was lovely, warm, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were excellent, and the highlight of my stay was the food! Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place. Thank you!

A lovely lunch with two friends. The staff were so helpful as we decided to share several item. The food was excellent. It was all so good we booked there and then for a months time. I also booked for my hubby and me to ho for Sunday lunch. We sat and chatted for ages, we were not pushed out or made to hurry up.

Live fairly locally and have visited regularly. It had gone down hill slightly when it was on the market. Popped in for a sandwich yesterday on the way home from a walk. It was warm and friendly and food was excellent. Six of us are now going there for dinner this week. Looks like it's back to its best under the new ownership.

Lovely, welcoming inn and hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the inn is quaint and well managed. The staff are super friendly, good menu selection, which is cooked and presented extremely well and all reasonably priced too. The only criticisms are that my room was noisy from the pipes in the ceiling and the car park has three Tesla EV chargers- which will only charge Tesla’s, with no option for the other 90% of EV owners. These are minor niggles all in all.

Sarah, Will, Louise and the whole team were absolutely amazing today. Food was served promptly, and the service was just second to none. The food was absolutely superb. I picked the light lunch option, two courses for £13.45 and found myself struggling to finish it! I can highly recommend the Legendary Three Cheese pie, and the cheeseboard on the light lunch menu was absolutely superb. A great selection of beers, wines and spirits supported this excellent dining experience. What a great find, I'd recommend this to everyone!

My partner and I both ordered the lamb shoulders, which were absolutely perfect and cooked to perfection—we finished every bite! Two of our children shared an adult portion of fish and chips, which we asked to split, and they thoroughly enjoyed their meal, as did everyone else. Even our picky eater found something appealing on their plate, which was a relief! As the restaurant got busier, the service slowed down a bit, but the staff continued to smile and worked hard to keep things running smoothly. We booked in advance for a party of 12, including a toddler, to celebrate a special birthday. The staff were very accommodating, offering a special vegetarian option to suit three of our party and giving us a choice of where we would like to sit. The menu had plenty of choice and the meals were very well prepared and presented. The steaks looked lovely, but I chose the chicken and chorizo pie, which I would highly recommend, as it came with a good selection of beautifully cooked seasonal vegetables, a delicious sauce and lovely light pie crust.
