"Despite poor service this is definitely a restaurant to experience. The food was excellent, however we found the service let the over all experience down. The staff appeared more interested in cleaning tables than serving customers. For example, I had to get up and find someone to get cutlery after waiting 5-10 minutes after receiving our sweet. The espresso was cold as it had clearly been left a while before being brought to the table. We had to repeatedly attract staff attention to get drinks and food orders placed."

Sunday lunch was delicious! An added bonus that you had a singer Matt playing his guitar. It was very hot so we asked if we could sit outside....this was no problem at all.

We had an amazing g Anniversary lunch with friends at The George. Staff so friendly welcoming. The food was delicious good choice of drinks offered. A lovely experience.We will definitely go again .

Probably the best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time!! Perfectly cooked meat, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. Yummy gravy. One of us had the pie and mash which was also delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was buzzing and we can see why! Well done, we will be back!
