Lovely food, atmosphere buzzy and comfortable. Extra shout out for our waitress, Izzy. She was so helpful in both menu assistance and our 6 year old well behaved guest. We all praised her cheerfulness and efficiency, a great ambassador for your company.

Another enjoyable lunch with my Mum at The Gate. Service is so kind and attentive and the atmosphere is warm and lively. Mum’s fish and chips was as good as usual but I’m not a fan of the new accompaniments to the steak dishes. Bring back the watercress and onion rosti and ditch the slimy exotic’ mushrooms please.

I was pleased to have chosen The Gate.for a special Sunday lunch with old friends who had traveled a long way to visit my elderly Mum. The atmosphere is great and the service is very professional. We had a great meal. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The roast is very well executed and the ribeye steak is top notch.

Good sized restaurant bar with plenty of seating both inside and out. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. The food quality was high, portion sizes large and prices reasonable given the quality. The wine list was varied and priced fairly. With plenty of free on site parking, we will definitely be back.
