Lovely local pub that is dog friendly and serves great pub food and a good selection of ales. Would definitely visit again. Worth booking a table ahead.

Visited this pub for a superb lunch today. The food was delicious, all four of us agreed that this was one of the best pub lunches that we have had in a long time, compliments to the chef. We found the pub to be really pleasant, very clean and the staff were all friendly. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling some more of that wonderful cooking.

We received a warm welcome yesterday evening. A great selection of drinks on offer and an excellent menu to go with it. We had the camembert to start which was delicious. For mains we had the 'pie of the day ' and scampi which were amazing, super tasty and a generous portion size. Fantastic service from the team. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you again. Beautifully decorated pub, friendly staff and food that is out of this world! Having eaten at many a pub/restaurant I can hands down say that the food here is beautiful and well priced....perfect portion sizes! Children's play area is great and loads of outdoor seating for relaxed drinks or alfresco dining! Please make this pub a must for any day dining ..... but especially a Sunday Roast!

A great friendly Pub with excellent food and service. Visited today (12th Jan) with my family for lunch. All our meals were excellent. The service was good, and the staff and other diners were very friendly and welcoming. Have dined here before about 3 years ago and the quality of the food and service today was better than on our last visit (i think it has new owners). Thoroughly recommend this Pub. You will not be disappointed. Also very dog friendly.

An amazing pub it the New Forest. We came in for lunch and it was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were well accommodated too. The food was excellent in every aspect. Quality, quantity and excellent value for money. We could only stay a couple of hours but will defiantly be back. Being walking distance from the train station means coming in from Bournemouth Poole Christchurch or Southampton is easily done if you fancy a few drinks. Very highly recommended. Voir le carte

We booked a table for eight people on a Sunday afternoon , and decided to sit outside. Initially there was some confusion when ordering as requests were placed at different times, leading to some of the party being told that there was no more food until 4:30pm. Once we’d established that the group was together, there were no issues. Service was friendly but a bit slow, they seemed to be a few staff short, but the ladies behind the bar worked continuously to get everyone served. Food was excellent, the large roast was massive with the veg coming on a separate plate, I struggled to finish this one ! Others really enjoyed the pizzas and ploughman’s. We visited 2nd Feb. A very pleasant young chap showed us to our table 'round the corner ' in a big snug type area. I 'd swear it wasn 't there last time. I had the chicken, ham leek pie which was in all honesty, glorious. I struggled to eat it as there was a lot (with fresh veg). My Wife had the chilli which was just spicy enough and came with home made tortilla. There 's a wide choice at the bar; I had scrumpy while my Wife had wine. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the price? Reasonable. I left the car in the large car park and got an Uber scrumpy does that! The pub has a huge outdoor marquee for smokers (yuk) and in Summer the garden is great for kids. There wasn 't music...

We don’t usually visit this side of the forest often since we live the other side, however after our dinner last night we will definitely be returning! As with most places there weren’t many vegan options on the menu however the vegan garden party pizza was absolutely incredible and they don’t need more options! I can confirm whatever vegan cheese they use was a very good choice, it melted beautifully and was delicious. We will definitely be back specifically for this pizza. Our friends meat pizza also looked really good if that’s your thing! Also the younger blonde female behind the bar who served us was very smiley, friendly and made us feel very welcome, a much nicer experience than some... Voir le carte
