"Nobody welcomed us. The only empty table seated five people. I checked with a member of staff that it was the only table, and she said yes so we sat down. She was adept at avoiding eye contact but eventually I managed to ask her if we should order at the counter and she said no, she would come to us. To be fair, that information was printed on the menu but the staff in most cafes can manage a cheery 'hello, take a seat, I 'll be with you in a minute ' or suchlike. When she did arrive, we told her we would be happy to share the table, but she didn 't respond, and we had it to ourselves the whole time even though the place was busy. Nice for us but seems a bit unfair on others. We ordered coffee, kombucha, a veggie breakfast (there is only a vegan breakfast on the menu but we asked to swap the avocado for a fried egg and use ordinary butter on the toast, which they were happy to do), and I asked for scrambled egg, avocado, mushrooms and hash brown which were all available as separate breakfast items. They asked if I wanted the avocado sliced or smashed, and I opted for sliced. My kombucha arrived in a sealed can with a separate glass. I poured it, took a sip and realised the glass was smeared with lipstick, which I do not wear myself. When I pointed this out they brought me a fresh one. At least mine didn 't explode like another poor diner 's did, with a bang that made us all jump and sprayed the drink all over her glasses, face, hair, and the window next to her. My companion 's breakfast arrived quite a long time before mine, so much so that I told him to start so it wouldn 't get cold. When mine arrived it was all on top of toast which I had not ordered and did not want as I am gluten intolerant just as well I 'm not coeliac. They took it back and removed the toast quite quickly. The scrambled egg was a generous portion, but very hard and solid, so not particularly nice to eat. About two thirds of the avocado was fine, not perfectly ripe but definitely edible. The other one third was browning and fibrous so I left that on the plate. My companion said his breakfast was good, and he ate it all. When we went to the counter to pay, again we were kept waiting for quite a long time with no word from the staff member present a quick 'I 'm sorry to keep you, I won 't be long ' or something would have gone a long way. I would not be enthusiastic about eating here again."

This hidden gem is a small restaurant with delicious food. One person in our group had the cooked breakfast and I enjoyed a tasty ploughman's lunch. The portions were generous and the food was excellent quality. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

While looking for a light lunch in Tenby, we stumbled upon Fuchsia tucked away in a corner amidst a row of closed shops. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options in the sun or shade. The food was fantastic, the service was great (with very friendly and smiley staff), and the playlist added to the overall experience. We will definitely be returning.

We came on holiday and our hotel was only doing a basic cooked breakfast (which is not a problem) we love to find little cafes to try different things the fushia cafe was exactly what we wanted situated down a little Mews very beautifully decorated with flowers, the staff were lovley, my smoothie was delicious lovley coffe and even though they had run out of salmon they appolagised and ran to get some (which we were happy about to sit and enjoy the location for longer) the food was delicious we had salmon and scrambled eggs which set us up for a lovley walk that day. Thank you guys and we will be back next time

Perhaps our expectations were a little high considering the reviews on here, but we had a very disappointing lunch at Fuchsia. We waited an hour for our food, which was just a Welsh rarebit and a goats cheese salad. After some time my husband had gone past the point of hunger, so we asked for his salad to be cancelled, only to be informed that it was currently being plated up. He still declined but I was very hungry at this point, so decided to continue with my order. Then (considering the salad was supposedly being plated up) I had to wait a further 10 minutes for not one, but two rarebits to arrive! I had only ordered one. It was fortunate that the further one had been made as the portion...

"And lucky old us wow! This was a great surprise, we had no idea we were coming into something so unusual and so good. The garden space is very big and on the lawn, amongst the flowers, herbs and vegetable beds sit tables and chairs, mainly made of roughly hewn wood, plus tenty sheddy structures with heaters, teepee looking things and probably other structures I didn't take in.We were there when it was dark and there were strings of lights throughout the garden and it was all stunning and rather difficult to take in!The service was occasionally scatty but always well meaning and pleasant and mostly very professional and rightly proud of what they do, the place and the food they serve. The food! We were so thrilled with the food after some not very good experiences locally and, as others have said, we wished we'd found it earlier and been able to book another night.I had the pork belly which must have been cooking for hours, apart from the rind (not exactly crackling but still crispy and wonderful) I could cut the meat with my fork love to know how to achieve it. No taste had been lost in the cooking process and the fat was there but was kind of crumbly so it was gorgeous. And it came with great slices of home pickled carrot and fennel which was just delicious with a hint of sweetness and a hint of spice. And a puree which I believe was cauliflower. And don't forget the delicious little black pudding rissole that comes with it.As you can see, I could go on and on! My partner loved his succulent lamb, which was served with the same vegetables. Oh, and we had side dishes of seasonal greens and roasted beetroot and goats cheese these were also yummy and well flavoured, side dish didn't mean unimportant.Sadly, we didn't have dessert, what can I say, bet they're ace. This is far too long, do visit if you can it's a real treat with great cooking and lovely people."
