Yesterday, I took my 92-year-old friend out for lunch, and the service was quick and exceptionally helpful. The food was delicious and met all my nutritional needs perfectly. There was so much that I had to take some home. I'm very pleased to see that they have survived the pandemic restrictions."

We were there on Thursday 2nd June and it was pretty quiet in the restaurant. The food is okay, nothing particularly special from quite a basic menu, but okay. The pub part is lovely, a traditional old country pub.

This charming old pub has a fantastic atmosphere and serves excellent food. I really enjoyed the bar area, especially the cozy wood burner. The staff is both friendly and politically engaged. Thank you for the wonderful experience, and please keep up the great work!

Delicious hearty pub grub every visit. Special mention to front of house manager Lynn, who steers a very tight ship. We particularly like the free minibus service (for dining parties of six or more) as no-one draws the nominated driver short-straw! Beware the dinner-plate sized Yorkshire puds on Sundays!

Visited to see the wedding exhibition. The room upstairs is perfect for what we required. We visited the bar for coffee but it was very busy and there were no seats so we decided to leave. We used the ladies toilet downstairs which wouldn't flush, but I'm sure this would be fixed soon as the standard of this place is very good.
