"Went for Saturday evening meal to use a gift voucher….Wow! Excellent meal, with lots of choice on the menu. Lovely staff all friendly and helpful. I had the Sea Bream followed by Rhubarb Elton Mess pudding and would highly recommend them, delicious and best meal I’ve had for a while. One dinner guest is a vegetarian and finds it challenging to find good vegetarian food and she commented on how good her meal was too! We visited here several years ago and were very disappointed and despite being local we kept away…..it has obviously changed hands now and is now very impressive, vibrant, busy, wonderful atmosphere and excellent food. Book early as is very popular and we definitely return again. Indeed, I have also heard their Brunches are excellent too and worth a visit!"

"We have been meaning to try this place for years and finally got around to a last minute visit at the weekend. The restaurant is small and very busy so I'd recommend booking well ahead of time. The food is really very good. The goats cheese starter on the specials menu was divine and I would also recommend the pasta dishes. The cheese garlic bread was OK but I prefer more cheese. The tiramasu and nutella dessert were both great. The service was very attentive. We were regularly asked if everything was OK and if we would like more drinks. Will definitely return."

"I have been here 3 times now, I would highly recommend this place. The service was great on each occasion, the staff are very welcoming, assertive and helpful! the drinks were ready quickly and the food was AMAZING!! The price is so reasonable too!! me and my friend come here after playgroup every week and we always struggle to decide what we are going to have, we're making it a regular thing now to try and get through the menu. ...Im not a big lover of nutella but I really reccomend the Chocolate Nutella milkshake and the nutella blondie!!! See you again next week guys! xxx"

"10 mins to be seated once arrived. No one asked us for drinks, or to indicate we have to order separately. Arrived 430.. asked about the menu “until 5pm” said I had to “hurry”, and proceeded to never come back so missed the slot for that menu. Conveniently…. Then straight away to be told what time we had to leave by ! (Common courtesy in most establishments and understood by ourselves, not nice being told what time to leave as soon as you sit down mind! Personal skills lacking, also when a member of the party rang up, very abrupt and rude on the phone. We only kept the reservation as it was for a birthday and didn’t want to change plans. Plenty of other nice other food venues, with staff that have customer service skills! Plus: food wasn’t bad, hats off to the chef (off the full price menu, so paid more than needed Overall, wouldn’t return. Pub food with people skills anywhere! thanks, but no thanks, well paying customers"

"We noticed recently that The Manor House does breakfast and as we were meeting a friend for a breakfast one Sunday morning, settled on this restaurant. We all wanted a light option and there was plenty of choice. We had poached eggs on toast, smoked...haddock and poached eggs and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. All were good, especially the poached eggs, which were perfectly cooked and the staff were very attentive. Also the food was quite reasonable. The only downside for us, and this is nothing to do with The Manor House, was that there were very noisy small children, who were so loud, we struggled to concentrate on our conversation."
