I've never had better food in my life. This small, family-run restaurant is popular with locals. The chef uses Devon ingredients to create amazing dishes. Food, service, and atmosphere all score a perfect 5 out of 5.

Enjoying a lunch at this restaurant was a delightful experience. The price per person ranged from £30 to £40. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying their Sunday Roast, Duck Confit, and Sticky Toffee Pudding dishes.

We wanted to try a local independent restaurant instead of one of the chains in Royal William Yard, however it probably wasn’t the right choice for us (couple with a young child). The service was good and attentive and we appreciated the good value children’s meal, however the ambience of the restaurant and price of the rest of the meal were disappointing. The 2 course meal pricing works if you are ordering expensive meat or fish, but for vegetarian options it is very overpriced. Equally, alcoholic drinks are not particularly expensive, but the soft drinks are ludicrously overpriced. Food was nice but would not return and as one patron already commented the lack of ventilation and poor sound...

Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus.
