"Little bit disappointed. This is the third time we have visited, this time being with family for Lunch. When we arrived we were asked what drinks we wanted to order several times before any of us had sat down and properly said hello to one another and didn’t have chance to look at the wine menu. This was the same with the food order for main and desert. Unsure if the waitress was new as we’d not seen her before. Was clearly trying far too hard. My food was cold, which is the really disappointing bit (steak warm, 3 tiny bits of broccoli and fries) as when we last visited a month or two ago for Sunday lunch the food was cold then too. First time we visited was spot on but since then, and after today, we won’t be returning in a hurry. I think a 12.5% service charge isn’t acceptable for the service we received."

Absolutely amazing Sunday roast. Best one we’ve ever had. Definitely recommend. We had all different and all the meats were cooked to perfection.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Dumb Post. The menu had a great selection of dishes and the food was delicious. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to others.

Visited for a pre Christmas family get together. We ordered from the festive menu and the food served was of the highest standard and piping hot. Every meal was delicious. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly and the ambiance, buzzing. Had a fab night, thanks to the team. Would recommend.

Lovely atmosphere, ambience. Fantastic service, and the burger I had was such a delight. The chutney was to die for. The views over the country were delightful as well even in the wet weather. The owner also helped me change my flat tire which was an absolute life saver. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

An amazing Christmas meal, the standard of food was truly excellent, the service was great and the general atmosphere and vibe in the pub was lovely. Special mention for Jessie and Max who both worked their socks off all evening but despite that, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this place...

This restaurant is a hidden gem! I met my family halfway for a post-Christmas lunch with four adults and a very energetic dog. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, but it was the food that truly impressed me. Three of us ordered the turkey, bacon, and leek pie and it was absolutely delicious. The gravy was exceptional- I can't believe I'm raving about gravy, but it was just that good!

"We stayed here ten years ago and thought it was wonderful and worth every penny. We were so excited to return, but really Disapointed. The grounds are lovely and we were pleased with our room. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool What really let us down was the food and service. There was no luxury here. The family dining choices were poor. The children's meal was bad one had fish gougons and sweet potato fries which were very salty. The other two had pizza, the small was served as half a pizza, the large was a conventional round shape. Both were shop bought bases (cardboard) with grated Cheddar on the top. Something I would not feed them at home let alone expect in a supposedly high end dining. My husband's steak was chewy. My main, whole plaice with creamed potatoes, the potato was served in a ceramic dish and it was cold. It was taken away and then took ten minutes to return by which point I had eaten the fish. The food was incredibly expensive considering how poor the offerings were. The next day we ate a very late lunch in Bath so we would not have to eat at the hotel. The breakfast buffet area had some nice items but was really understocked and allowed to run to empty. The staff functioned but not at a steady rate, we found the service slow and the staff disinterested. Such a contrast to our previous visit. The person in charge we found sullen and felt as if our presence was an inconvenience. When we walked through to the dining areas we would hop out of the staff'so way for fear of being bulldozed. When we left the receptionist was polite but did not ask if we enjoyed our stay. A week later I had an email to complete a survey and nobody got in touch despite the same feedback as given here. Very dispointing. Lovely room and surroundings but poor food and poor attitude from staff. Last year we stayed in a hotel that cost 65% less than Wooley Grange and had a much better experience."

"We had a tremendously good lunch here today-the food was quite delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful-I’d say it’s probably one of the best lunches I’ve had in quite some time….so to give you a clue we both had the pork-this sounded really lovely and we were not disappointed-pork belly, tenderloin,a faggot and a ham hock croquet with mashed potato and roasted cauliflower with a delicious jus and a slice of pickled apple( which I ate immediately with a piece of pork and when the waiter came to ask how our lunch was I asked if he could possibly get me another piece-which he did For dessert we shared the passion fruit crème brûlée which came with a passion fruit sorbet and some chocolate soil…..the focaccia we had at the start of the meal was superb and the coffee was also excellent -we do enjoy both cooking and eating-one of life’s pleasures and it’s abundantly clear the chef absolutely loves food too-a great display of cooking books from the greats sort of got me thinking it would be a good lunch…….also worth noting the drinks menu-some lovely wines, soft drinks and cocktails both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I finished off with a mocha which was hot chocolatey but not too sweet. Bradford on Avon is most definitely worth a visit and I’d say you would be foolish to miss out on a great experience if you didn’t also pop in to the bunch of grapes for some sustenance while there… Thanks for lunch and as Arnie says “ we’ll be back”….."
