"Stopped off hungry and thirsty on the way back from Rowardennan.. Were met by a warm welcome from friendly fella in a kilt which is always a good start.. Despite all tables being booked for dinner a quick discussion on how long we were staying allowed us to be seated in the front conservatory.. Both of us ordered the haddock and chips and a couple of soft drinks.. The service was fast and friendly.. We were told that we would struggle with finishing the fish n chips.. He wasn't kidding.. What a portion, but what struck me most was the quality of the fish.. And the batter on the fish was the best I can remember having.. Throw in a plate o chips that would have fed four, mushy peas that even ma son ate and I can honestly say I'd go out of my way to return.. Top marks all round.. Free car park across the road was a wee Brucie bonus too.."

had our evening meal in a dry gasthof. personal and service first class very friendly and professional. had no difficulty fishing and chips that I cost in a long time.

We had a wonderful meal to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday. The staff was friendly and I want to thank Gordon and Elaine for making it extra special with a Fizz Flasher.

hotel, restaurant and bar. with live music when we were there on Sunday. I don't know about the rooms because we were just there to eat. the menu is limited, but all we had was excellent. a great value for money, a visit worth when they are in the right time in neighboring.

it was not that the rooms cannot score, but they are worthy. we stopped eating on a Friday night, no booking with a big party already in. portion sizes and taste brilliant, service a little slow but look up. not much for vegetarian and just a vegan option. have mozzarella for cheddar on the enchilada superal for the price good price for money go hungry!
