The Drymen Inn - Carte

Uncomfortable and poorly furnished rooms, Food okay, evening entertainment awful. No thought of guests sleeping in bedrooms upstairs. Sounded like the Luce music (if you can call it that) was playing in our bedroom)

Went about 6pm and got a table no problem. Staff very friendly. Ordered salmon in sauce and chicken burger. Came quick enough but salmon was over cooked and accompanying veg chips onion rings all barely warm disappointing !

We are here twice while away for a couple of nights and the food was absolutely fantastic, together with the service and attentiveness from the staff. An absolute gem of a place with a great atmosphere and a roaring log burner to keep you toasty. Voir le carte

The female bartender was rude when we asked for a drink, responding in a demeaning and belittling manner. We were staying in the area for the weekend after losing our beloved dog on Thursday. We paid £18 for two cocktails that were disgusting and we couldn't even finish. It's important to remember to be kind, as you never know what someone else may be going through at that moment. The pub seemed to be filled with older patrons with excessive wealth, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

My partner and I dined at this restaurant on the first night of our three-night stay in Drymen. We were initially concerned that it might be quiet being a Sunday night, but were pleasantly surprised to find it quite busy. The live singer that performs on Sunday evenings added to the lively atmosphere. The food was delicious, although we did find the drinks to be on the expensive side. A pint of real ale cost £6, and a bottle of red wine was priced at £24, which we later learned was the standard for wine in the area.

If you are hiking The West Highland Way, this restaurant is a great first stop. As two American hikers arriving on a Friday night, covered in mud from the trail, we were unsure of what to expect. However, the staff greeted us warmly and made sure we were able to eat before the kitchen closed. The locals were also friendly, buying us drinks and engaging us in conversation for hours. We ended up staying the night and found the room to be clean, comfortable, and a welcome respite from the trail. I highly recommend this place and hope to return one day. Voir le carte

Sadly we wasted an afternoon here. Planned on having some food but the one member of staff front of house (Kara? had zero customer service skills. We ordered a side of curly fries for our son who was a bit unsettled and advised her we would order once he had been served. We are still waiting!! Menus sat in front of us for over an hour, whilst she fraternised with a chef behind the bar and consulted her mobile phone constantly. Avoid this place if you’re looking for any sort of hospitality. Go next door to the Clachan. Superior service and a far better atmosphere

We came here for dinner after a disastrous attempted stay at the Buchanan Arms Hotel. As the hotel could not honour of booking we arrived at the Drymen Inn two hours earlier than our arranged booking. My mum explained our situation to Victoria and she rearranged things and got us into the restaurant so we could still get a nice meal. Victoria then offered to phone other local hotels to see if we could get a room elsewhere. All 5 of us had lovely meals and all the staff that we dealt with where so lovely. I can't recommend this place more. Staff lovely meals tasty

Really tasty food, nice staff and relatively cosy. A bit loud but it does advertise as somewhere that might be lively with live music and sports so that’s to be expected. We had two cream of leek soups which were very leeky and hearty, an ultimate pizza with a side of chips and a chicken and leek pie. Ultimate pizza was homemade and had a fair bit of topping. Came with dips too. Side portion of chips was huge. Pie was delicious and filled with filling. The side veg with that was delicious. We ended up leaving some food but not because of taste only because we were full. Also had a coke and cappuccino. Came to about £57. Voir le carte
