"Sunday Lunch was excellent! Slight mix up with our table at midday but soon rectified by the very pleasant lady who greeted us at the door. Rest of the staff were great also. Plates piping hot, hence meal was piping hot. Lunch was very well cooked and flavoursome. Two of our party of five had starters, the food was presented well and enjoyed very much. Mains, three went for roast beef and two for turkey. Again we were all very pleased the roast potatoes were exceptional. All cooked fresh on the premises. A selection of scrumptious desserts followed with two of our party opting for the misery dessert and were not disappointed. Coffee followed with chocolate mints. Then the bill which was very reasonable, considering the food we consumed. Don't miss out on going to The Crown. You won't be disappointed we will certainly be calling again."

Once again we have enjoyed a very tasty Sunday Roast at The Crown, Stratton... Very nicely presented, plenty of fresh vegetables and tender meat. We'll be back!!

Food is ok but the bar staff are sullen and don’t want to be there. Waiters and waitresses are friendly but sometimes seem embarrassed by the food they are bringing to the table

A reasonable meal with a some tasty dishes, although one or two not so hot. Tasty and well presented puddings enjoyed by everyone. This pub has a good atmosphere and staff are helpful. Voir le carte

Just had the peppercorn beef with bubble and squeak.Very tasty, the meat melted in the mouth the sauce was yummy the bubble and squeak a great combination with this meal.Also nice on the children menu to have tagliatelle as a choice.Will be back again.

Five of us had a Christmas Lunch here in the lead up to Christmas. We were impressed with the place names that reminded us of what we had pre ordered. All courses were well presented, particularly the desserts. Portions were generous and well cooked with lovely fresh vegetables and all served at the appropriate temperature. Staff were polite and friendly. Our only niggle was that we were sat by the door, that invariably stayed open on a cold winter's day!
