A lovely, neat spot with a welcoming interior and a decent outdoor space. Food was average cold side of chips but the chicken and steak was decent with nice salads. Staff were pleasant enough.

Had gorgeous takeaway fish and chips, a real treat, beautifully fresh and great value for money. Looking forward to going back to eat here as our previous meal pre lockdown was delicious with excellent service. Voir le carte

No much to say really.. Amazing is all that can be said fabulous food and service, chef came out at the end of service which you rarely see. One thing you definitely did see was passion in the cook as the the food was next level. Well done to all the team!

Decent people, warm welcome and good service although the food did not live up to the reviews I had read. Expected more. But apart from the sweet which definitely was not good (over aged cheesecake, too sickly and darkening on the edges) the food was not a bad standard, just not as good as reviewers would have you believe. Maybe we went on a bad day?

There are many pubs in this area and I haven't tried the others which often look posher and quite inviting because we keep going back to the Crown in Shrivenham. The food is fresh and well prepared and there are things to choose for vegetarians that aren't overpriced and unimaginative if they can do this for non meat eaters, imagine what they can do with easy ingredients like meat! We’ve eaten here many times over the past 18 months and always enjoyed great quality meals and good customer service. The Chicken Kiev is delicious and the Salmon is always cooked perfectly. Love the side of vegetables which have a great flavour. Great chunky chips, well cooked and super fluffy. They sometimes do a special whitebait starter which is lovely. We’ve visited several times since the Covid measures have been introduced and felt welcome and safe. The outdoor seating area is dog friendly and a great spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon.

We eat at this pub on a recent visit to our daughter’s. It was a nice evening and decided to dine outside in the yard area, which is very pleasant. The young waitress was very nice and give us the menu and took the drinks order. We both decided to go for the specials (always believing they are the specialty of the day) my daughter had the mussels and I had the sweet spicy chilli pork and noddles. The mussels where plentiful but strangely came with chips? Usually mussels come with rustic bread! The chilli pork was bland at best, no kick and very little pork mostly veg. Overall I was disappointed with the food and wouldn’t rush back, maybe the chef needs to realise what bistro pub food entails...

This is the second time here, and again a very good meal served by excellent staff. The first time was a few months back we had steak and chips was great and that prompted the 2 of us to book for our family meal for 6 on Sunday. Koftas to start for a few, and Whitebait for another, whilst i had Halloumi. Means was a mixture of Roast Turkey (and when they say all the trimmings they mean it, the best Yorkshire by far, Pigs in Blankets and Carrot Mash, Red Cabbage and Sprouts), Roast Beef for a few others whilst i had Pork Belly, Mash and Red Cabbage. For deserts we had Christmas Pudding and some had Raspberry Brulee Some lager, and Real Ale and all in all a well spent £163.90 Certainly would e... Voir le carte
