"We made an early reservation at the restaurant, which was nearly empty, but the service, though friendly, was slow. Since we were looking for a quick lunch, we ordered sandwiches - my friend chose the steak sandwich for £10, while I opted for the Club sandwich for £11. Both sandwiches were served on thick-cut sourdough bread that was difficult to cut and bite through. My Club sandwich was supposed to have chicken, egg, lettuce, and bacon according to the menu, but the egg was cold and scrambled, there was no bacon, and the lettuce was limp and uninspiring, resulting in a bland and unappetizing sandwich. My friend's sandwich was also disappointing, with cold steak and soggy sauerkraut. However, our saving grace was the delicious chips. Despite enjoying good meals during previous visits and liking the atmosphere of the restaurant, we were let down by the lackluster food this time."

This was my first visit to Dial House and I went for Sunday lunch. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The Bounty bar dessert was absolutely amazing.

Friendly helpful service from experienced staff. The food options were good and the quality was excellent, very tasty and good portion sizes. We went for the Tarte Tatin for 2 for dessert and that was well worth the wait.

After driving for nearly an hour we arrived to be told there were lots of shortages. Only chicken was available. We asked to wait a few minutes and would be given a drink on the house. After being ignored for 10 minutes we left. Fawlty towers comes to mind. Another diner advised us to leave !

This restaurant is a delightful venue to dine at. It would be a good idea to request a table outside of the main dining area as it can get quite loud. The fish we ordered was cooked to perfection, the appetizers were delicious, and the dishes were well-balanced with subtle flavors and not over-seasoned. Voir le carte

We had a lovely evening and the food was delicious. Unfortunately there had been a problem with the heating and we were rather chilly. Staff did get an electric radiator to try and improve this. Only other complaint is the glass cups for cappuccino- I really dislike them and will ask for an alternative next time.

We were sat in the front room near the secret room, the staff were very polite and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome however the service was slow, and it would of been nice to have some gentle music in the background. The roast pork belly dish unfortunately the roast potatoes were dry on the inside and looked as if they had been covered in flour. Overall the restaurant is extremely nice and relaxing, but the food needs to improve sorry .

"I booked originally for 6pm and had to change to 6:30pm due to traffic. I hadn’t confirmed The new booking so the host could not find a booking for us. It was my father’s birthday and I was really worried I had messed it up. The host, was fine and was still able to get us seated, we were very pleased with that. We were given a choice of tables, and as a larger guest, I was able to be seated comfortably. We’re we’re served by Tom. S ,for the evening. OMG! What a charming and delightful waiter. He was attentive, had great banter and held a wonderful conversation, wished my father a happy birthday, and tended to my wine being filled up all evening. He made us feel wonderful, and made me feel like a million dollars. The food was absolutely superb, French onion soup was perfectly seasoned, the croutons were Devine along with a salty cheese. Loaded with sweet onions: The liver parfait my husband had was delicious he said. My dad and husband had the beef bourguignon, and I had the chicken, gratin with a side of dauphinois potatoes… Again… absolutely perfect. The service here was top notch, and Tom.S made our first experience at Côte the best. He is a first class waiter, that I would compare to the the likes of The Ritz and The Savoy. Fantastic personality, and very well groomed and presented. What a fabulous and marvellous team member you have there. Cherish that! We will definitely return, and recommend this restaurant highly. 5 Service from Tom.S and the chef."
