"Not good. Was booked for Sunday lunch at 1.30pm. Had run out of Gammon. Just beef or chicken left. They had served a party before us they said. Waited for ages between courses. The staff sat about the bar eating biscuits but didn't check on us. Would have liked more gravy. Of the 3 desserts , no cheesecake left , ice cream was all defrosted , so only brownie left , served with cream in a hot jug. Or cheeseboard. Had to go to bar to ask for coffee as staff were dragging tables about the floor, then reordered as lady forgot what 4 coffees we ordered. Mine was spilt into saucer so the paper sugar was soaked. Was not impressed with mouldy look of tiling behind the toilet door. For £16.95 for main course we expected a better experience."

Just had lunch here totally delicious! We opted for a selection of small plates and each were lovely. We had 5 between the two of us and that was plenty. The service was very friendly and the decor was really nice too. Would definitely recommend a visit.

yesterday evening after booking a few weeks ago to find the roller shutters below and the place all closed. no notification of cancellation and we were not the only ones to dinner. Not impressed that people are tingling around in a full night for the last minute available.

We ate at No. 31 this weekend, and it’s fair to say the food there is AMAZING! We had the tapas sharers to start (5 dishes between 4 of us) then we had Sunday roasts for mains, you can’t see in the photos but you get all the extra trimmings too! Cannot recommendation this place enough

Because food was lovely, I would have excused waiting 45m for the bread but of our tapas to turn up. I would even have excused trying to overcharge £36 In blatant disregard of the multibuy that was on the menu. However cannot excuse being told that we could keep the table for two hours but an hour in a party of people turned up to set up for a… See more

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
