Under new management to two guys that run it are nice guys good pizzas

Never had a bad meal here. Sometimes can get busy but it's worth the wait.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch at the last minute. We haven't been here for at least 4 years but we were greeted with a friendly and warm welcome. The food was lovely, tasty and in good portions and the service was excellent. It felt as if you were in a friend's house.

Rude and unfriendly bar staff. Was made to feel v uncomfortable and unwelcome. Took our drinks outside to the deserted and shabby outdoor seating area. Surrounded by dead plants and peeling decking paint, it was unattractive and unappealing, and would explain why there were no other customers Will not return or recommend.

Had a casual cycle out to HF Broadoak and I fancied coming here for a drink served by the lovely gentleman behind the bar that told me about the ale I was buying because I have not heard of it I had the guest ale from wantsum brewery called 1381 which was the session IPA I highly recommend coming here as I have just seen the negative review before hand I clearly think this is a nice casual social place to have a drink as I don't have the green man down the road in takeley as a proper pub anymore which is now a Thai restaurant good luck to the new ownership here i have just found out from a local below that the pubs gone under new ownership and will give support to this place and I only do vo...
