"we visited to lunch on a bright early morning Saturday afternoon our friend had good work in him was really busy. the service was very friendly, young and efficient staff. we ordered a few sharers to start halloumi...chips with a tomato dip and the chipolatas, then everyone had a main course. we had x chicken mites and x chicken kjew (some of the jelly from this court goes to a Ukrainian charity that is an excellent idea). the whole food was nice, although the brokkoli was a bit cold, as if it were a past. we were too full of dessert, but we sat and chatting one because and nobody bothered us to pay the bill or go olney itself is a beautiful little place with some interesting, independent shops and worth a walk."

on a weekday you asked for a drink and a snack. only firmly book while the restaurant was almost empty, or try to drink only bar. ridiculous, no possibility to run a business!

First time experience and couldn't fault the food or service. Will definitely return soon. Pizza's big hit with kids and desert really good too. Value for money all round which makes a nice change

What a really great night we had, made all the better by Andy our waiter who was articulate, attentive, and made our evening a extra dimension to our evening. Topped with great food as always. Highly recommend a trip to the Cherry Tree

A great restaurant, fabulous food and got to say that our waiter, Andy, provided star service. He was engaging, attentive but not intrusive, and nothing was too much trouble. A real asset to this restaurant. Thank you Andy for looking after us bonkers...ladies!!

beautiful atmosphere and tables very beautifully spaced. friendly attentive waiting staff and eating was delicious. I had a job to find a court that was not carved in garlic although when I asked for a meal without adding it, nothing was too much annoyed. .As far as I expect, nice for a special occasion.

Having been disappointed so many times with Sunday lunch be it either poor value quality I was. delighted by The Cherry Tree. The building and decor also make a pleasant change from the normal Farrow Ball gastro pubs. Despite being busy the service...was excellent (Harvey looked after us really well). Drinks and food were very good with the Porchetta being outstanding and worth the hour drive on its own!. Would certainly recommend and will definitely return .

Had a lovely meal at the Cherry Tree with a friend. I thought it may be quiet, being a Weds, but how wrong was I! There was a lovely buzz in the restaurant and, as usual, the food was excellent. Our waiter, Andy, was fantastic.. despite being busy he took time to chat to us and was great at advising us on wines we did a tasting of a few for an event I'm having here in May. He had a lovely manner, knew his stuff re food wine can't praise him enough! Well done Cherry Tree.

Arrived here having been disappointed by our first venue. Asked if we could have a table (it was Saturday night and busy). Yes they said, they'd find a way which they did. The menu was really interesting and there were several starters and mains which...I could have had. The service was crisp, the food arrived promptly and was excellent, the interior was beautifully done with perfect lighting. The atmosphere was really comfortable. It wasn't cheap but I wouldn't expect it to be and I was delighted to pay the bill as it was worth every penny. Looking forward to my next visit

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
