Awful Sunday lunch not Carvery, roast potatoes and Yorkshire rock hard, vegetables warm cauliflower grey very disappointed

I stopped by for a few drinks and a game of pool. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning for food, as it looked and smelled delicious. Service: 5

This is an outstanding pub and B&B. The rooms were impeccably clean, featuring very comfortable beds and fantastic showers. Breakfast was superb, with a wide variety of options available. Affordable and pleasant ambiance. The new owner could use some guidance in hospitality, as she came off as a bit impolite and confused about her role. However, the dark-haired woman cooking was very friendly. There's a good selection on the menu, though it's uncertain if items are actually available. Service rating: 1.

I don't usually leave comments about the places I visit, but this restaurant truly impressed me. The staff were outstanding, and the food was exquisite. My wife and I both really enjoyed our meal. I had one of the largest mixed grills I've ever had, and it was cooked to perfection. The hunter's chicken twist was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place!

I had dinner here this evening with my husband, and it was fantastic. I ordered the carpenter's burger stack, which was honestly the best burger I've ever tasted. My husband had the fish and chips, and even he said it was one of the best he's ever had. The staff were extremely friendly and polite, and nothing was too much trouble for them. My son and I had the lasagne tonight and they were both stone cold in the middle. Was told the temperature of the food was tested before being served but was still stone cold when it arrived. This was the second time we had visited first time the card machine was playing up food was OK and had to ask for a clean spoon to eat my dessert. They did deduct it from the bill and offered me something else to eat but I was put off eating another main course.

Absolutely awful Sunday dinner here today. Portions were way too small and lukewarm. The mash potato wasn’t edible at all it was like milky slop with lots of lumps in including some potato peel. Very difficult to cut through the stuffing balls and Yorkshire. Meat was very chewy and only one half full gravy boat given between 4 dinners. Such a shame as we had a beautiful dinner here with previous owners early this year. Will definitely not be coming back especially not for 12.50 a meal.

I stayed in the family room (I upgraded because the picture of the double room looked small) and was surprised to find out that prices had increased in September. Even though I booked my stay in September, I ended up paying a significant amount more. The rates are quite steep, especially considering you need a car to access nearby attractions. On the bright side, I noticed that the bathroom had been freshly painted and the condensation marks were no longer there. I didn't eat at the restaurant during this visit, as my last dining experience there was just average. Voir le carte
