WOW, we went twice. The staff made you so welcome, the food was excellent. If you are passing, please stop and support this excellent place. A local pub, even if you are visiting for the first time, they make you feel like you visit every day. Well done.

Today, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a charming rural pub. The food was excellent and the owner and bar staff were very welcoming. My 5-year-old son was thrilled to see Halloween decorations adorning the bar and restaurant. Jayne, I believe, even took him on a tour to count the number of witches and pumpkins. The lunch was reasonably priced and I highly recommend this establishment.

Booked the meal over the phone. Very friendly staff. We did feel slightly out of place(not posh) but everyone was very friendly and polite including the locals. I had the fish and chips which was lovely and the sticky toffee pudding was immense. Best one Ive had for a while. The fiancee had the butter milk chicken burger which she said was ok. We had an amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The cauliflower cheese was suggested to us and it exceeded our expectations. The roast beef with all the fixings was delicious. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff who were plentiful. We ended our meal with the homemade banoffee pie and bread and butter pudding. The restaurant even welcomes dogs. Overall, it is a must-visit pub if you are in the area.

Went for lunch today and it was a wonderful experience. Firstly when we walked in we were made so welcome by two members of staff with one being the landlady i assume. We ordered drinks and the landlady was very friendly and was genuinely interested where we had came from etc. We ordered a Camembert sharer with cheesy garlic bread as a starter. Well the portion size was huge and the quality was outstanding. Couldn't eat more than half our wonderful main course and we were provided boxes to bring home. The chips i ate were amazing as was the homemade coleslaw. Can't wait to return as it was 11/10

My wife and I visited the Butchers Arms, having pre booked a table for Sunday lunch on the 13th August. We both had roast beef, delicious Yorkshire pudding, fresh vegetables , gravy and optional cauliflower cheese. The cauliflower cheese was ample for 2 people! The roast beef was perfectly cooked pink and very tender. Congratulations to the chef! The well stocked bar served a good selection draft and bottled of beers, together with wines and spirits. There was a convivial and lively atmosphere in the pub. The staff were all friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be eating here again! Voir le carte

I made a last-minute reservation at this restaurant and I was extremely pleased with my experience. The staff greeted us warmly and there was no pressure to order quickly. The regular menu was fantastic, and the specials were both intriguing and tasty. The service was top-notch, with dishes arriving hot and beautifully presented. Even though we hadn't initially planned on having dessert, there were options that appealed to everyone. The coffee was also quite good. I want to give a special shout out to Jayne and the rest of the staff for their patience and attentiveness to the elderly members of our group. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch and planned a circular walk from the pub first (details of the walk kindly and very articulately provided on the pub website). Beautiful, peaceful walk. The lunch was as good as the walk, and definitely the best roast we have eaten since moving to the Cotswolds nine months ago. Very good Yorkshire, beef and vegetables, including a huge Cauliflower cheese which we shared. My husband loved his sticky toffee pudding and custard whilst I enjoyed the wonderful Marshfield ice cream. Service very swift and friendly and the whole place had a good buzz about it. We will definitely return, for a different walk but probably the same delicious roast!

We visited the Bakers Arms on Sunday, en route to see Giffords Circus in Stroud. It is the last weekend of the season, so for us, an annual visit. I’m so glad we booked, because this is one busy pub! Admittedly, it was a little chaotic parking, however, we managed to park, and the landlady offered our friends The opportunity to park in the private car parking area. There were eight of us in our group. We arrived early, and had some relaxed drinks outside. At 1 pm, our table was ready, two of our guests had not arrived, and I informed the bar we would be delayed slightly, this was not a problem. We were shown to our table, an extensive menu many wonderful dishes to choose from. And we are all... Voir le carte
