"When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures. Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent. We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come. We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special. The food is delicious especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine. The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean. On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team. You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family run vibe. I am sure Costas is very proud of his team and what they have accomplished, and they fully deserve all of the praise and recognition they get. Parking: Facing the restaurant, to the right hand side is a small car park with a handful of spaces. Note that you should not park there before 6pm as I think it is shared with local residents. If you are not lucky enough to get a spot, try Manor Road we’ve never failed to find parking there."

"not a great experience last night. I had a table pre-booked, and when we arrived, although 10 minutes early, we were on a table for four to sit down. we got menus and then ignored 15 minutes. no personal would see me in the eye when they passed. the manager/avner then came to us, asked me to refer to my name on the reservation book and said he wanted us to move to another table. this is the least comfortable in the restaurant, between the bar and the door jammed. After I have eaten there before I know that you spend all your meal, entering with everyone or leaving the restaurant that is dying past you. we were offered a discount on food to move what is good, but what was left me was said we would receive excellent service for movement. if they are in the hospitality, all the excellent service should be obtained. it also sounded like a veiled threat that we would continue to be ignored if we had stayed. this is the second bad experience that we had here and it is such a shame that they have some good dishes, but we will not go back."

"I visited Anna's for the first time today with my daughter. We had the cream tea which was the best I've ever had. It was so nice to be able to choose the sandwiches and cake you want. We even treated ourselves to a couple of glasses of bubbly each!! The atmosphere was very welcoming and calm. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great food, great staff, great location, what more can I say. I would highly recommend a visit. Tip: best to book in advance, it's a busy place."

"The best sandwich I've ever had in Folkestone! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated that I could call ahead to place my order so it was ready when I arrived. The price was reasonable, especially compared to other places in Folkestone. The sandwich was generously filled, and I was pleased to see multiple vegetarian options on the menu. I usually have limited choices as a vegetarian, so that was a big plus for me."

"Ordered via Uber Eats on a very stormy Folkestone evening. I decided to help out HappyCow users and order items that hadn’t been photographed for this page. Especially since I was struggling to choose between Vegan Red and Vegan Green. Also vegan green sounds healthier. And it tastes it too. Lots of green veg but the base sauce is slightly tasteless. So I did regret that decision afterwards. Vegan Meatball Marinara was nice. Vegan cheese had a slightly weird texture but was tasty and it was definitely my favourite dish of the three items I ordered. Vegan Oreo waffle was nice but I’m not really a dessert person. But I’m sure my niece will happy polish off the leftovers"
