It's a spoons, you know what you are getting and it's quick service!! 2 meals 2 drinks £20 ...... cant beat it!!

Food is not always the best but I still enjoy going out there. The staff and service is great. Always good for having a drink.

Not the best Wetherspoons and not the worst. Food was not very nice, gammon was very dry and rind was like rubber! Very busy and staff were struggling but trying hard.

Steak was brick hard, if you want it medium rare order it raw. Delivered the wrong burger that was ordered. Flies were constantly around the table. No tables cleared throughout the time of our visit, and it wasn't exactly busy.

1 staff member serving behind the bar! 1 Serving food and cleaning up must've had a mad rush as there wasn't much cleaning going on!! Food sat under heat laps for 10mins before Serving! We stopped here for lunch on our trip to Edinburgh through the historic route A7. We parked just opposite the main entrance and went in. This is definitely a big old pub, with good infrastructure and nice big screens for sports. All the tables were not clean. We placed an order for 4 and waiting till it arrived, but didn’t hear anything from any of my sources. Food arrived somehow quick, over fried and not that good.

A few times recently, we have been and items aren't available, or when your order comes, things are missing. For example egg, peas or tomato off a large mixed grill, yesterday ordered a side of scampi, which should be 8 pieces only 5 arrived. We complained and were served the missing three pieces a little later with a sorry. Fair enough, but no here free drink or anything. The bar was full of dirty glasses and on a previous trip every table had dirty plates on it. We have been visiting here over 5 years and things have definitely changed since May time.

Good food, good beer, very busy but food served hot and with good grace. My choice was not available so I chose vegetarian lasagne, but what arrived certainly wasn 't vegetarian. Was very nice, but I suspect a proper vegetarian would have been very vocal at the error. All on all, very good, food was plentiful and good value. Good surroundings too without any suggestion of haste in departing. Very enjoyable meal. Definitely come again. Update: many years on, doesn 't change. Still very good value, no further vegetarian upsets, bingo nights VERY popular. I 'm not a regular but always very satisfied with going there.
