"Booked a table for Saturday September for and was advised we would have to vacate the table at which we were happy to agree with. We arrived promptly at shown to our table there were only a couple of other tables...occupied again we were advised we had to vacate the table at We placed our order one starter to share and our main courses not too long a wait for them to be served. At a young gentleman approached our table and advised us we had to vacate the table by we explained we had been told twice and at this point he started to argue with us said he had a piece of paper that stated the table had to be vacated at we asked him to speak to the lady who had seated us he told us she had left. He then told us walk in’s off the street were told a time we advised we had booked the day before and had been given a time he then told us we had a bad attitude and then brought a piece of paper showing the time of We had planned to order a dessert instead we finished our drinks and left at When we left the place was nearly empty so where was the great need for us to vacate the table. The food was OK but the serving staff need training in how to talk to customers suffice to say will not be returning to this establishment.."

The staff in the restaurant were amazing. We were served by Janie and and given lots of local points of interest by her son Connor. The choice of food was surprisingly extensive and the food itself did not disappoint. Can not rate this place highly...enough.

Don't judge a book by its cover - we had a great meal at this restaurant with a group of 6, all trying different dishes. Each of us left happy and relieved, as finding a place to eat on the island can be challenging. The main town wasn't very inspiring, but this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Voir le carte

Fabulous little find. Decor was a bit dated, however the food was excellent, great size portions, and piping hot. Six of us visited twice the week we stayed in Rothesay and both time we made welcome and would certainly recommend another visit. Remember to book...though gets very busy. Never a bad thing in my opinion.

this restaurant is a jewel of a place. Open on Monday, which is rare in rothesay. please book in advance as it fills quickly. service is friendly and efficient: impressive as it is a waitress that covers all tables. eating was fresh, delicious and generous. bring their own bottle, as the restaurant is not licensed. no corkladen and they will be glasses at the table. excellent price-performance ratio.

A little gem, Sonja our waitress in fact the only waitress serving on the night we dined was absolutely wonderful in fact we thought it was her restaurant, it was a busy night, no walk ins only booked tables, the food was very good, the...menu was vast in fact too many options, what we chose was delivered hot and it was delicious, a must when wanting a nice meal out but remember to take your own alcohol , as they don’t have a license. descend to sonia and yusef, waitress and chef. they are so hard working and friendly. we fought to find a place that allowed dogs, and were so glad to find bonnie and clyde. they offer a large selection of menus, and everything. we had over night was very well cooked and presented. the prices are very good and as byob we have brought wein for which no corkage was calculated. I would recommend this beautiful place because nothing was too much annoyed. excellent customer service.

The restaurant had a warm and inviting family atmosphere. It was evident that it was a hardworking business with family involvement and a strong sense of pride in the food they served. While I wish there were more options for Syrian cuisine on the menu, the dishes that were available were delicious. I started with the Langoustine, which were perfectly cooked and served with a tasty aioli. The Syrian chicken Kebab for the main course was subtly flavored and juicy, accompanied by fluffy rice and tasty flatbreads. The children enjoyed the hummus, which thankfully was not overly garlicky. The service provided by the young waiter was friendly and accommodating, and it was clear that he took pride...

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
