I would recommend this bar for its good beer and nice atmosphere.

The location is charming and they have a wide selection of beers and ciders. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

First time for a drink...real ales good selection of. Food looked good although I didn't eat. Go again for sure. Back again 3-4more times ?...been again ...still loads of choices to drink!

An old fashioned country pub with loads of real ales on 14 handpulls, also a few big brewery brewed beer and lager. Also on some days there is Eastern fare food, looks nice but not tried yet. In summer plenty of outdoor seating. Voir le carte

Great real ale pub with a great selection of local draft beers, cask and keg. Roaring open fire, dog friendly and classic pub grub available. It also helps that it's right on the Tyne Valley railway line, and also situated on Keelman's Way cycle path.

If you're looking for a great selection of beer, friendly conversation, and a cozy open fire, this is the place to visit. Mark, the owner, works hard to keep customers satisfied. The outdoor seating area is especially nice in the spring and summer months.

before covid 19 four of us visited the pub to lunch. we were several times on the river to foot from newburn to wylem, so its comfortable, but it served large beer, and a pee and inherited lunch. we love the place, but are not since the coin 19 there is a great selection of real ales that are all served as clear and tasty pints.
