"the place is elegant on its own wise, with the right care on design and space. the waiters were always nice and friendly. this is a good start in the rule. I also appreciated the short menu (long menus are usually a bad sign.) the main problem was eating; the lachs was boiled and the presentation was not pleasant (sometimes less is more) the pasta was a complete catastrophe: false recipe, false art of pasta and laid away. and above on pasta, an art salat, that is a multiple error; even if we try to ignore the fact that in Italy no one in the same plate pasta and salat, the heat of pasta partially boiled the sweet, give a bitter taste and lose texture. for the conclusion it was served in the wrong style of the taste (there is a technical reason why this dish should not be used for this type of pasta.) the desserts were tasteless, and with too much sugar it was even worse. I can see there is an effort to offer something else, and I can appreciate the inspiration for a higher level of the restaurant, but they can't afford it if they don't manage the basis. about the price; if they managed to prepare these dishes properly, the price could be correct, but with this current level of quality sounded exactly as pretentious. in this case, I am really sorry to give lower rates because I see the engagement with something good, and I want to reward it, but I cannot ignore what we have served."

"By far the best restaurant in Thurso. The management and all staff are so friendly and helpful. Every meal has been perfect, and food allergies are catered for. Highly recommended. Cant say thank you enough for the excellent meals and hospitality."

"Is the rating really 1-5? Because I would give it negative. I am begging you not to come here please. It took a total of 2 hours to complete my meal. 30 mins of eating and 1h 30m of waiting. I could have fished my own meal twice in that time. That's not even the problem, you're forced to buy a 4 meal course even if you don't want to, which at the start they serve you some lobster biscuit, but oh no its not a biscuit it's the worst tasting drink I ever had. Just because its a seafood restaurant doesn't mean you have to stuff as much salt as you want into a tiny cup.The food was... meh and it was overpriced. I'm begging you just ease don't come here."

"we went on Sunday, the buffet day. the greeting was excellent, and the waiter attentive. Drinks were served immediately like the popadoms and sides. we were able to help us at the buffet 3 different appetizers, plus 4 curries, choice of pilau and simple rice and nan. eating was exceptional. the lamb bhuna was mainly tasteful, with a decent amount of flavored heat. there were many great pieces lamb that melt perfectly in mouth tender, with not one hauch of gristle or chewiness. I can't get this place high enough."

"We visited Caffè Cardosi hoping to have lunch but were disappointed as everything we asked for from the specials was finished (by 1230) and the usual menu isn't very exciting (sandwiches, toasties, baked potatoes). Our waitress was excellent, friendly and couldn't be more helpful, even advising us on how to get to John O'Groats. Eventually we all got something to eat (they were quite busy but it took for ever) 10/10 for our waitress, whose name was Hannah, if it wasn't for her we'd have left, but only 4/10 for the whole experience."
