"We are staying in town for 6 months to do some travelling and are so fortunate to be in the same neighborhood as this fantastic pub! We have been many times as the food is unbelievable and the staff warm and welcoming. Consistently great food is hard to find as it depends on the day, but not the case here. Excellent every time. And the variety is amazing. Haven't had Thai food this good outside of Thailand. The quality of the food is obvious and the variety meets all tastebuds. Definitely some of the best food we have ever had. We are so grateful to have a 5-star location in our midst. We will not forget it when it's time to go home! Thank you to the hosts for making us feel so welcome!"

The Thai food at this restaurant was exceptional, and the staff was lovely. However, we were disappointed that vaping was allowed inside near where we were eating, so we do not plan on returning.

Miserable landlord, they ran out of the chicken dish both on menu and specials board by 6.30pm. Had a bland chicken pie with thick stodgy pastry. Belly pork was nice! Won't return which is a pity because the pub holds happy memories for us.

We enjoyed another excellent three course meal last night. There was a lovely festive atmosphere with happy, friendly staff delivering delicious, massive portions of food. My steak, ale and Stilton pie was fabulous! Thank you for a great night out.

Looked this pub up, and decided on lunch there today, slow service, bearing in mind it is hard to get staff, we were not in a hurry, friendly staff, nice quiet pub. The food was really good and worth waiting for, they deserve good support. We recommend them to you.

Great service! The turkey, pancetta and sweet red pepper lasagne was absolutely divine. Huge portion, very reasonably priced. My husband got two large pork steaks with lemon, ginger, sweet chilli and sherry sauce which was equally enjoyed. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much!

First Time here and Thoroughly Enjoyed the Food and Hospitality,My only Criticism was the Pastry on my Steak and Ale Pie was a little tasteless, maybe a little bit more Salt. Other than that Lovely and Hot Food the Stem Ginger Pudding and Custard was to die for ,We will be back again for sure

Just a wet old Wednesday evening so needed good food and friendly pub to visit. This place fits the bill perfectly. Helps that they’re super dog friendly. Creamed chilli mushrooms to start and good job we only ordered one as very generous sized bowl arrived. Followed this with the best veggie lasagne I’ve ever had and a brisket that had a very tasty gravy. There’s pub grub but this is definitely that bit more, attention to detail when putting food on the plate, making it look desirable, its all here. Very very good chef.

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
