Stayed for 2 nights and ate at the restaurant both nights, out of choice! The food was lovely and staff very accommodating throughly enjoyed our stay! High portion sizes.

We had a meal here and would definitely return. Love place and nice food, though to garlic bread is disappointing as more like toast. Welcoming atmosphere and staff. Best Butter Chicken I have had.

We liked the look of this place and the menu, so we stopped in for sandwiches. The bread was so thick and dry the sandwiches were hard to eat--I had to remove the top piece and use knife and fork. The chips that came with...the sandwich were surprisingly soggy for both orders. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is lovely and the service was good.

Very disappointed with my birthday meal in a party of 4. Starter of a few sliced tomatoes, a handful of rocket and a mere sprinkle of what should have been feta but tasted like parmasan all for the pricely sum of £9! My main course of pork escalope was tough and basic, the meal of a Sunday lunch was just ok but the mash was really salty and the chef's recommended pork and noodle dish was tasteless. Overpriced and one to avoid in the future.

breathe here during the stay in rampington for the night online booked, which was easy, had a beer at the arrival then in the restaurant for our meal. friendly welcome and all staff were welcome. I had to begin to garlic mushrooms that were amazing and...then fajitas, also very beautiful. my partner had gammon and we shared a bottle of wine. my only tiny negatiw was that I also thought the chips (although very tasty) were a bit soggy. all in a beautiful night with a cheap meal in a beautiful environment, we would visit again.

I had two meals at The Black Horse, while staying here (I thought I'd do the correct thing and leave separate reviews for the food and hotel! and both meals were top class. As I've said, plenty of choice on the menu. I was torn...between about 7 or 8 different things...and I'm normally quite decisive!! Ultimately, I opted for the pork loin on the first evening. This came with a crumb with small pieces of bacon on top. Worked so well! The orange crème brulee I had for dessert was also delicious. Great soup and steak on the second night too. Ordered the chicken in lemon sauce with garlic mash and broccoli. Waited nearly a hour for it. The lemon sauce overpowered everything else on the plate it was swimming in it. The garlic mash just dissolved into it. So not the best choice. Waited 30 mins for dessert coconut and pineapple pannecotta very nice and Elton mess for my other half and it really was a mess on a plate just thrown on and the raspberry sauce was like a blood bath just splattered onto the plate. No dessert forks and when I asked why ? the lovely waitress said “nobody uses them anymore” Well that’s news to me. Asked for the bill and that came in minutes. So overall not impressed and won’t return.

during our stay in the dolen too many places for an evening meal this was by far my favorite. Although the many local pubs are good for the basic pub duve, we really have been happy to go somewhere that a bit fancier and especially an. the evening, and that was not disappointed. the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Eating was amazing, honestly one of if not the best lasagne I ever had, what is a big statement as a huge lasagne lover! my partner gay was huge and divine, likewise he said one of the most beautiful he ever had. puddings were also beautiful when they were looking for something special in the evening than their pub grub in the opposite, this is the place to be!
