"Went to the Bird in Hand for one of their Friday music nights with friends and took my little dog we both couldn't have been made more welcome! The food was excellent, there was a great selection of wine, a lovely pint of Guinness and even a doggy menu. One of the people I was with is really finicky with his food but they went out of their way to make sure that his was cooked just as he liked it and even laid on the exact wine he wanted. The live music was great fun with some fantastic audience participation and really added to the night. I didn't stay but the rooms looked great and it's got really nice outdoor space with plenty of cover if the British weather decides to do its thing. Like others, I'm sure I'll be back!"

We had a fantastic experience from start to finish at this restaurant. My wife and I began with some drinks in the pub when we arrived early. After that, we walked around the beautiful garden outside.

Food was amazing. Service was polite and friendly. We must’ve had a new waitress who made a few small and insignificant mistakes but it was all rectified quickly and without issue Service: 4 Location: 5

We met our car club for dinner and had a great time! The beer was good, the food was nice, and the atmosphere was lovely. However, we were quite surprised to find out that they do not accept cash at all. So be aware of that!

What a rare experience these days. The overnight stay was amazing in the Windsor suite, and the dinner was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway! Shout out to Zoe for making our stay extra special and offering some great suggestions of places to visit nearby. Rooms: 5

We have stayed at several Butcombe establishments, and this particular one was not up to par. The staff in the evening were friendly, but our wine was delayed the first night and service was slow. On the second night, we did not receive our 25% discount. The room service at the hotel was nonexistent, as our bed was not even made. Additionally, breakfast was served on a dirty table. Overall, we would rate the rooms a 3 and the service a 3.

This restaurant is a wonderful place with a lot of charm. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to help. The ale is great and the food is delicious. The accommodation is very good, but the only downside was that the coffee pot in the room was stuck and caused some issues. However, I would definitely stay here again. The safety is top-notch, as the local police use it to accommodate visiting officers, creating a very safe atmosphere. The food and drinks are of high quality, sourced locally or from well-known producers/suppliers. The ales are excellent quality beers that I highly recommend.

"Booked after my son looked on Facebook for somewhere to eat whilst visiting the area, he wanted something different and the Japanese menu caught his eye, we were staying very close in Hurley Village 2 minutes drive away. On entering the car park you could tell this Hotel and Restaurant was going to be something special, we were welcomed and seated straight away, the atmosphere was something quite special, a female vocalist really brought the place alive with her amazing voice and at just the right volume to be able to have a conversation and listen to her in the background. We pre-ordered our meals which we were dubious about doing but it worked out to be something that took the stress out of deciding what to eat on the night, shortly after our drinks were ordered our starters arrived, king prawns cooked to perfection, the Hurley house fishcakes were tasty and fresh with the an extra squeeze of lime, the Edamame, soya bean pods were surprisingly nice and refreshing and very different. Our mains were very good, a mixture of pizza, sushi, Togarashi Teriyaki Steak which was exceptional, the flavour was amazing and the steak melted in your mouth, definitely a dish that will be remembered for a long time, the tripled cooked chips were very good too. After a short break we had our deserts brought to the table, a chocolate and raspberry gateau and a creme brûlée, both were exceptional, my Son and his wife said it was by far the best Creme Brûlée they have ever eaten and they have tasted a quite a few! The sweet treat to finish off the meal had the drama and surprise to finish off such a perfect meal and evening. Thank you Hurley House, we will definitely be back when we visit the area again. The night before we had dined at a well known restaurant in Marlow which was double the price but wasn’t anywhere near as good as Hurley House Hotel. A must if visiting the Hurley area."
