I was there on my own and read good reviews for the food so tried the Lamb shank, beautifully tender, wasn't disappointed. We visited the cricketers today and what a lovely pub very reasonable prices and the most wonderful owner Rowena, she looked after us with such respect and dignity. Thank you so much we will be back again.

Made us and a couple of dogs very welcome. We should have booked but squeezed in. Great service and fabulous food. We both had a steak pie followed by treacle pudding. Good comfort food for a cold but sunny day. Good beer to wash it down.

Only recently I have members of my family to the Cricketers for lunch on two days. Food as usual was great. My brother-in-law was very surprised when his wife's meal was with what he called real chips! I had to tell him once again that everything at The Cricketers is cooked from scratch by the fantastic cook in the kitchen.
