As a dutchman this was my first time going to an english pub. Although I had an oldschool pub in mind, The Big Lock pub didn't disappoint me. The interior is very nice, comfortable seats and sofas and the staff is hospitable. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The roast dinner was fantastic! The doggy dinner also looked amazing, and our dogs enjoyed it immensely. The kids' meals were delicious, and the beer selection was impressive. The cauliflower cheese was wonderful as well. Overall, I definitely plan to return. It's also a perfect spot for coffee and a stroll along the canal. Price range per person: £10–20.

Came today to have look and see what it's like. As soon as we walked through the door the staff were welcoming and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing and presented lovely, drinks were lovely. We will definitely be back for out family meal before Xmas. Already recommended to family and friends. The food was outstanding, and the staff were attentive and professional. I can't wait to return, as I could easily have ordered everything on the menu. The Sunday lunch was the best I've ever had! It's evident that the new owners and management are doing an excellent job, considering how busy the place was. Typically, when a restaurant is this crowded, the quality of the food can decline, but that's definitely not the case at the Big Lock.

This is arguably the friendliest and most accommodating pub I've ever visited. We ordered the doggy dinner for our Labrador, and he absolutely loved it. The staff are incredibly kind and wonderful. After having a breakdown and being stranded in the area last night, coming here has really lifted our spirits. A special thanks to our waitress (the lady with facial piercings) – she was fantastic! The food was also amazing, earning a solid 10/10. Thank you so much!

I really enjoyed my visit to The Big Lock Pub Restaurant. The service was really good from the two waitresses and the atmosphere was really warm and inviting. The food was suitable for its setting. However, I do wish there were more adventurous options on the menu, as I honestly did struggle to choose something, so I played it safe with a steak. The steak was cooked perfectly to how I asked. However, I do wish the cut was a little thicker. The chips and beef gravy for me were a big let down as the chips were not crispy, and the beef gravy tasted like an OXO cube in water. I would love to return, and I think I would. Hopefully, there are some new menu items that would be more appealing for me... Voir le carte
