beautiful small pub in a quality area that serves amazing food and if it is birds that they are after lads, then this is the place to be.

Excellent traditional pub, log fires, smashing food , great garden, great staff, landlady is a complete angel. Family friendly and dogs welcome

Dropped in for a quick drink after a long circular walk. A friendly reception met us and the parrot was also on show. Good clean seating inside and quite garden covered and uncovered. Well worth a visit

Been here many a time, staff always friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Always have time to stop and talk and ask how you are. Food is excellent, worth the wait. Looking forward to going there again soon after a walk round the reservoir.

This small pub has a nice large outside area. It’s quite noisy next to the busy B road and you have to watch out when crossing from the reservoir side. We enjoyed our drinks, apparently they are presently without a chef. The bar lady did not exactly welcome me; perhaps just a bad day. Voir le carte

You can ALWAYS expect a very warm welcome here from owners Pauline David Brown staff are also warm friendly. Offers great food lovely location near the Tring reservoir. Anglers has a beautiful outdoor area is heated for those chillier evenings! The Anglers supports live music have every Thurs eve an open mic hosted by James Fielden well supported by local musicians. Charity festivals regular music is also on the Anglers calendar.

Upon entering The Anglers Retreat, I was immediately impressed by the pub and its staff. My room was spotless and the atmosphere was welcoming. The bar was bustling with activity, and the music event featuring The Roberts Family Band and other artists was fantastic. The buffet provided was superb. Many patrons suggested trying the Sunday lunch, but I had to leave after breakfast. Overall, I had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

I chose this restaurant based on its reviews and location. I easily booked a room online for £115 for the night (double en suite). Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to our room, which was spacious and had an excellent shower room. The fridge in the room was stocked with milk and orange juice, and a continental breakfast was included. The room was clean and quiet, set back from the road. The reception area in the restaurant was cozy and inviting. We dined in the bar and ordered food and drinks, which were delicious. We also enjoyed the 'open mike night'.
