Really lovely food and ambience on our doorstep.Keep up the good work! Great value for money too! Sunday Carvery well worth a try.

I went to this restaurant on Sunday and the food was terrible. The staff were rude and indifferent. The gravy was thick and the mashed potatoes were spicy. I will not be returning.

Just had a wake here, Great service with the new manager, Tracey. Did the food for the buffet which was excellent, so much to choose from hot and cold. Also was a lovely dessert table too. Would defiantly recommend, nothing was too much trouble. Love the Maiden Family Voir le carte

took husband out for birthday meal. food was excellent came out piping hot and so quick was delicious couldn't fault it. highly recommend. and have to say the new couple who have taken it over are so welcoming and friendly. and was lovely and clean inside will definitely be going back. keep up the good work guys xx

Great place for a meal, especially the carvery is superb, well cooked meat and very tasty and plenty of choice. Love the cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. The staff and owners very friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Always clean and tidy tables. Also nice clean toilets. We try to go at least every week. Been with family and evenings with friends.

Booked a table for the Wednesday night cavery only to be told when we got there they are no longer doing carvery on a Wednesday night was so disappointing thought we would give them a try under the new management in my opinion they should have put something up on there website to say they were no longer doing them on a Wednesday night everything these days is about word of mouth so unfortunately I won't be recommending the castle Voir le carte

We visited last Wednesday as a family and were surprised to see a mid week carvery. They had a choice of 3 meats turkey beef and gammon and plenty choice of veg. I opted for Beef and Gammon and was certainly not disappointed. The veg was so fresh and soft and we were given a small bowl to share the veg with our little one. The carvery chef was so happy and smiling it was a pleasure to see a great work atmosphere. Will definitely come back to try carvery on a Sunday as we heard everyone on about the chefs Dauphinoise potato's that are only on Sundays.

We had a great experience at this local pub while visiting family in the area. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly lady at the bar who asked if we were there to eat, drink, or both. She was very helpful and informed us of the different options and deals available. On the day we visited, they had a special offer of a Burger and a Drink, so my partner and I tried the ultimate sfc burger, which was amazing and unique to this place. The pub also had ample outdoor space where our child could play safely. It's definitely a hidden gem and we look forward to returning soon.

I have been to this restaurant several times in the past few years and always had a great experience. However, I was disappointed when I visited for Father's Day. The carvery was not up to par, with slow service for the vegetables and some of the food being cold. A few members of my family ordered from the menu, but their dishes took nearly 30 minutes to arrive (although they said the food was good). I understand that Tracey has recently taken over the restaurant and is struggling to find enough staff, so I don't want to be too harsh. We will give it another try in the future and hopefully it will return to its usual high standards. Voir le carte
