"I enjoyed a delightful Sunday dining experience at La Pergola. The highlight of my visit was their Sunday fixed price 2-course menu, offering any main, pizza, or pasta dish along with a dessert for £21.95. For starters, I indulged in the Scamorza In Carrozza—a heavenly creation of deep-fried breaded smoked mozzarella cheese, elegantly drizzled with a tantalizing balsamic glaze. The dish struck the perfect balance between crispy and creamy, setting the stage for a memorable meal. My choice for the main course was the Pappardelle Mare e Monti—a generous serving of wide strands of egg pasta adorned with a flavorful ensemble of wild mushrooms, prawns, and pancetta. "If you wanna go to a restaurant and have the most wonderful experience in your life, you need to go to Chequers of Orwell. The food is above Michelin star quality, surprises me it has no Michelin star yet. The chef David makes magic. I have always enjoyed this place and I go whenever I can. I recommend everybody visiting at least once because writing down is not even near the tasty experience. Ah and did I mention the dessert? The chocolate fondant is something unimaginable... the best dessert I ever had by far. The staff are always prompt to help and are courteous too. The only complaint is the lack of Chequers worldwide! I wish I could eat there everyday of my life."

"Nice little quaint pub. Nice staff. Had the roast beef the roasties and Yorkshire pudding was lovely along with the carrots but the meat was a bit ropey even though it was pink I couldn’t cut it. Expensive for what I got and I live in London. Tasted the chicken and also not that great. Didn’t stay for desserts. Asked the carrots on the children plate to be raw but they said not possible as the food is delivered cooked! Really was not a great dinner a shame really. Nice garden but not secure to leave kids to wonder but nice atmosphere in general."

"We enjoyed a delicious and authentic Thai meal at The White Horse, which is Thai-owned and operated. The fish cakes were incredibly tasty, and my favorite dish was the green curry. The tofu in both my dish and my mom's was perfectly cooked and wonderfully marinated; she had the stir-fry with cashews. It was a fantastic recommendation from my mom, who is a frequent visitor and enjoys bringing guests here. Food and drinks: Excellent. We came just for the meal, not to stay. Service: 4/5. "I visited here a few times and feel like it's time I left them a review. the caffe is in a great location, surrounded by some nice little shops in the Burwash manor. the caffe itself has a large (and quite large) sitting area. Outside, where the weather is good and also a series of interiors for these rainy days. at the moment they have to order when they are from the menu that we do more than happy. during Covid times they would hardly want to touch a menu anyway. the food I had there has always been excellent, special favorites are the Burwash breakfast and the Turkish eggs. I'm not a big coffeemaker, but the ones I've had here were always great, better than I've had on many others. the employees are always pleasant and happy to have a chat with them and the service levels have always supported them. apparently there is a new cook so we are happy to see what they bring to the menu. we were in many caffes in the opposite and this is simply in our top people. make sure they were placed for one of the homemade cakes as they kept them wanted back. we will soon be back to try out some of the other products they offer."
