Just popped in for a takeaway breakfast. Great friendly and welcoming staff, lovely, clean, well presented little place and the breakfast was deeeeelish. Highly recommended and very good value.

Called in today, on a whim, and it was lovely. Home made quiche salad, open prawn sandwich salad. Coffee was good too. There is a specials board and some lovely home made cakes. Staff very welcoming. had a nice visit to the squirrel pantry, which was generously recommended by the manager in the travel lodge for a nice lunch. the service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and polite especially for my daughter who is very shy. the drinks came out...promptly followed by delicious food. very responsible. a hidden gem.

This is an absolute gem, hidden away in the trees on the outskirts of Cockermouth. We had the fish pie which was full of lovely salmon, haddock and prawns with a gorgeous cheese sauce and perfect mash. The staff are welcoming and attentive. We called in, in the hope of seeing red squirrels, which, unfortunately, are no longer around, but were very happy to discover this hidden gem. A warm welcome, attentive and speedy service and lovely food compensated for our initial disappointment. Being situated outside the city...centre in a garden centre, free on-site parking was an additional benefit.

my first visit, unfortunately I was served by a dame that was creepy, involuntary, and simply not friendly, first impressions etc. no idea how to make a flat white, had the look of a latte, tastefully cut. the cake was beautiful, generous. as I. wanted to go to pay cash only, was told me, fortunately I have some money with me, which is unusual for me, not her fault, the machine did not work, but why not mention, customers how they go, that there is money just to avoid possible problems.
